Hi Asseca, thanks for solving this issue so fast.
Is there something I need to update in the original skin .zipfile for the skin to work properly?

Hi LimeFlavour,
The new v2 DLL uses a different "DefaultBank":
In Voyager_GUI.ini >> [Vst]:
change to defaultBank=presets\Voyager\voyager.fxb
Also in the new v2b10 DLL+skin lfVoyager-test-v2b10.rar, I have made some changes to the button images, and added btn-closeESC.png and btn-closeOK.png, all images are now PNG, i.e. all PNG bugs that I know of are now been fixed in v2b10. (slider.bmp can be removed from the RAR)
Feature request:
Is it possible to remove the backgrounds (keeping the images sizes as-is) for:

Yes I can remove the background from those images.
I will probably do that tomorrow though, I'm abit short on time right now.

Asseca, I see that in your .rarfile you already have the Voyager_GUI.dll and the Voyager.dll files included.
Does the install procedure become easier if I include those files aswell?
Does one need permission from the people that take care of the 'Arguru software' webpage to include those files?

You need to include the new the Voyager_GUI.dll as this version of mGUI (v2b10) is not available from the web-site. Unfortunately the Voyager.dll may not be included, unless we get express permission for this.Limeflavour wrote:Asseca, I see that in your .rarfile you already have the Voyager_GUI.dll and the Voyager.dll files included.

Sorry, it is my mistake, I should not have included Voyager.dll, it is now removed from the updated lfVoyager-test-v2b10.rar

Spent a couple of hours trying to get this to work.
Followed all the instructions from Limeflavour's site.
Plus a few of the tips in this thread.
Could not get it to work with the new Voyager_GUI.dll
All I got was a blank black outline of the vst.
So I then downloaded the 'old' .dll that Limeflavour points
to on his page, and it worked!
No clue what is going on, probably me just being dumb
Just thought you would like to know.
I'm running a 1.6 GHz Centrino.
WinXP SP3
512Mb Ram
EnergyXT 252 Final.
I used the rest of lfVoyager-test-v2b10.rar to update the install of mGui.
All I did was change to the old Voyager_GUI.dll, as I mentioned.
Works perfectly!
Thanks for the skin Limeflavour - cool work.
And thanks for mGui asseca - looking forward to re-skinning that horrendous
old Paris EQ
Cheers.

Yes, I belive the install procedure will change abit if you use the new 'Asseca' rar file.
I haven't updated the skin provided from my blog yet, and can't do so until the end of this week.
Asseca > What would be the easiest way to install the new skin?
(Maybe install mGUI first then just copy/paste the folders from the rarfile)

How about a self-extracting installer:Limeflavour wrote:Asseca > What would be the easiest way to install the new skin?

Download Voyager-lf.exe. (you don't need to install mgui.exe)
Installation
If you DON'T have any other mGUI plugins installed:
- Run the Voyager-lf.exe installer program to copy the folders+files into the VstPlugins folder.
If you DO have any other mGUI plugins installed OR you DON'T want the skin-files in the VstPlugins folder:
- Run the Voyager-lf.exe installer program to copy the folders+files to the asData folder.
- Run asData\mGUIman.exe or asData\setVSTmGUIpaths.exe to automatically set the asData path in the registry.

Just wanted to thank you guys for your efforts. I use Voyager a lot and your skin has made the process a lot more enjoyable as I was always repositioning the old GUI to fit my screen.
A great synth made that much better.
Thanks

- Run the Voyager-lf.exe installer program to copy the folders+files into the VstPlugins folder.
If you DO have any other mGUI plugins installed OR you DON'T want the skin-files in the VstPlugins folder:Then copy/move the Arguru's Voyager.dll into the \asData\plugins folder.
- Run the Voyager-lf.exe installer program to copy the folders+files to the asData folder.
- Run asData\mGUIman.exe or asData\setVSTmGUIpaths.exe to automatically set the asData path in the registry.
Is it ok if I take this installer and use it as the new download file for the skin?

Yes, it is fine, it is the same solution I used for the SampleTank wrapper.Limeflavour wrote:Is it ok if I take this installer and use it as the new download file for the skin?

Been re-evaluating my plugin folder, tried Voyager again, forgot how great it can sound. So, tried your skin, very nice work guys, makes it so much easier to use.
However...
Two queries:
1) Half the presets I tried didn't make a sound, looks like the amp sustain is always zero no matter where the slider is.
2) The gain knob for Filter A is erratic, visually seems to flip between 9 and 3 o'clock, value loops round continuously in small increments.
The only version of Voyager I could find was 1.1, correct one to use with this skin?
Cheers.

Could be that these knobs have been inadvertently set to midi learn some value and something in your setup is sending control messages to those. Just a guess as I had similar issue with keyboard keys. Try a complete reinstall.
1.1 is the right version tho.

I have found a bug in the asData\Voyager_GUI.ini file.GaryG wrote:2) The gain knob for Filter A is erratic, visually seems to flip between 9 and 3 o'clock, value loops round continuously in small increments.
Everyone, please re-download and re-install Voyager-lf.exe.
(If you have installed using Voyager-lf.exe, you do not need to un-install, as long as you install to exactly the same folder)
