Absolutely no f***ing way. I might get an Android one though. The big deal for me is to develop custom things for it and the way Apple treats it's developers contra how Google treats theirs make my blood boil.

Pay to develop, all kinds of mindnumbingly stupid restrictions and non disclosure agreements,no thank you.I wouldn't take one if i got it for free.

The only thing holding me back with Android development is the ultra crappy emulator. It takes like 5 minutes to start. WTF is that about ?

Haven't had waiting times like that since the early 90ies with a MacIIFx and a fully loaded PT system.

Android emu runs java. Java isn't as fast.

The new version of Electrify is f**king off the hook. He added a mini pattern matrix like live, and refined the UI quite a bit adding a few more features around too. It's a lot easier to make fine adjustments now but pitch is still a bit wonky. Totally hip version. Been having fun with it here. Also LooptasticHD can now upload to soundcloud :) in its latest version.

Woops here is electrify URL

That has absolutely nothing to do with it. I code Java every day and i've never encountered anything that slow in like 10 years.

That whole "Java isn't as fast as "younameit" is mostly a myth nowadays.
The programs might take a while longer to start (like 4 seconds instead of 0.5) but once they're up and running they're just as fast as anything else.

I believe this particular problem is more an emulation running on top of a virtual machine emulating a virtual machine running an emulation. Or something like that. There's absolutely no way Java alone is responsible for a startup time of 5 minutes.

I'm still here, and I am definitely thinking about doing something exactly like that! I just need to figure out how to conveniently let people import samples into an iPad app and get the results out of it.

Ofcourse it also doesn't help that Apple has not announced a releasedate or a price for it (I'll probably just go to Germany or France to pick one up).

A thousand apologies for the necromancy but I used tuareg v1 and on. I really miss the worflow and speed of quick chopping, variating, gstemasking, etc. I miss it a whole lot. It feels like a dead relative every time I think of the tuareg/tunafish days (like hearbreaking).

Here in 2017 I see a lot of apps handling files now with soundpacks. I believe devs can plug into apps that handle the file end of things, and many apps can export loops to audiocopy/audioshare. Is the time ripe for Tuareg to rise from the ashes into the iPad universe!?! God I hope so! It would be a dream come true!

My necromancy of this thread is in homage to the dream of future necromancy of Tuareg. Brambos/ruisemaker - whatever you develop, a million thanks for all you have done and all you will do. I understand beat structure very well because I started using your programs when I was young. If someone investigated my musical development brambos would take up a good amount of space in my teenage roots
