Woops sorry I missed the request. Glad you guys got the manual. If you've noticed for the past 3 months we've been changing the web sites drastically and everything is going to be vastly improved for support and things like this. Thanks for your patience waiting for this manual. I hope you find it helpful. We tried to cover a lot in there but we'll also still be doing tutorial style videos soon as well.
I am working on a few things for the Infinite Player that people from these two Group Buys may like... including pitching Ocean Way on more kits but we'll see what they say.
Neil Peart is available for Pre-Order (releasing this month) for the Infinite Player and we're also doing EpiK DrumS A Ken Scott as kits only.
All of the Multitrack kits from Platinum are actually updated and if you already bought it you could download them again and they'll all be the NEW DM2 patches. Next week we'll have JUST the patch update if you don't want to download all of those kits again (understandable). Of course if you want to BUY any of the a la carte kits on esoundz they ARE in fact all DM2 now but we have to just update the desriptions with the new data is all. But the zips contain the new patches! Basically we're DONE with Drum Masters 2 Multitrack, Drum Masers 2 Signature Kits and Drum Masters 2 Platinum (also releasing a KITS ONLY) version of Platinum as well! WHEW! That was only how many years in the making????

I can see the Dm2 updates for DM1 MT kits over on http://www.sonicreality.com/support/ . Can you be more specific about the update date - I downloaded these in May 2010 but do not know whether I have the latest ones.
Also, how about the DM2 (STm) updates for the DM1 Stereo kits (and grooves)?

Those are the latest ones. We're updating ALL of the stereo kits and grooves, multitrack kits and grooves this week as they're all done!DarkStar wrote:I can see the Dm2 updates for DM1 MT kits over on http://www.sonicreality.com/support/ . Plus we're releasing some things that hadn't been released before such as Jerry Marotta's TAOS Kit and some other cool stuff. That one I believe is going to only be available in DM2 Platinum and part of Jerry's Complete Kits pack. We'll do a special upgrade for those that have some of his stuff already. By the end of next week I think we'll have everything so far under the Drum Masters 2 umbrella available. Then we have to make some sort of chart - a new one - with everything you ever wanted to know and ways to find exactly what you want. It's a bit complex but we're going to try to make it easy to navigate. We're going to have artist pages on SR.com as well where you can really just get into ONE artist and see ALL that we have for them plus perhaps some links to know more about them and all sorts of fun things... and there are more artist libraries coming. One with Keith Emerson (keys) and some more drummers like Carmine Appice (and Vinnie is doing one in a few weeks) and we have one with Simon Collins too (about as close as we're gonna get to Phil Collins I think... besides the Hugh Padgham and Nick Davis sample sessions... I think with that and NDV we have those sounds covered! Although I had a session tentatively planned with Johnnie Burns who recorded Selling England and The Lamb too... those are just some of my favorite drum sounds so I am selfishly doing it to my own liking as much as possible... but we've got plenty of hard rock, metal, jazz and other style drums including some really avant garde stuff coming as well... plus a session we did with Alan Parsons recreating a Pink Floyd drum sound... and let's not forget Neil Peart which is on pre-order now. So if you like DRUMS we've got some good ones!).

For me, it's OK. I have the updates for these MT kits from the previous group buys anyway. For those with older versions of these kits thoughSquids wrote:Would you guys like it if ALL of the kits were available a la carte?blueman wrote:Still missing are: Blues, Soul, and JB YamStick. Or, are you referring to the TAOS kit? Yes, we would LOVE to see that as an a la carte item

The "Multi" folder structure has me a bit confused across so many group buys. When I open up IP now I'm not sure where everything is anymore. Easy enough to relocate and rename these but I'm wondering...can I reorganize them (moving and creating new folders) without IP (Kontakt) searching for "missing" samples or confusing the locations? Is there a certain way I need to do this or can I simply change names and locations at will?
Thx,

Yes Sir!Squids wrote: Would you guys like it if ALL of the kits were available a la carte?
Very nice Manual btw! I really do look forward to the video tutorials too.
How's it going with the übersampled Collins snare? I want that one a la carte
I love the sound quality of Sonic Reality samples, but I'm still not satisfied with how rolls sound and behave. There's lots of machinegunning going on when doing rolls or play fast on an edrum with the samples. Could it be the Kontakt Engine, a small sample pool, few alts, or something flawed about the Round Robin and Randomization scripts?
I had hopes for the Morgenstein kit I bought since it's huge, but it actually was much worse than the kits from the two group buys. There's pretty much zero dynamics and I have to turn down the velocity to Amp control to 10-20 to get anything close to playable and it machineguns like crazy. I have those values around 70-100 on most the kits from the group buy. Maybe there's a patch fixing this for the Morgenstein kit? Something must be wrong there.
Hahaha that is pure genius! He's like the Cookie Monster on steroidsstandalone wrote:Let's start thinking in Drum Masters 3.
Squids, this guy MUST be in:

Edit:
I just read about the update Kontakt 4.1 and Kontakt player 4.1.
Faster loading seems like a good feature. I wonder if the the new authentic expression technology (AET) is availabel in KONTAKT player too. Seems like a good thing for drums and maybe especially for hihat and maybe snares(maybe it can improve rolls?).

Tried to look for the stereo kit updates but couldn't find them. Checked my user area and this link: http://www.sonicreality.com/support/Squids wrote:Those are the latest ones. I assume the updates have not been released yet, am I correct?

They are updated too if you want to redownload them. But we'll add in just the kit patches on there own to the support page later this week as well which is faster to download.
