I bought ST XT plus the 8 sample libraries in the group buy. When I try to open a combi sound in sample tank it says instrument part I not found and instrument part II not found. Are these combi presets only working in ST XL or do they also work in ST XT?

Just if you have the XL sound set. The Combis only work if you have the associated samples. But you can get the XL sound set for FREE in the latest VI Group Buy here (as one of the extra freebies buy 1 get 2 free). http://www.esoundz.com/news1.php?nbr=59 ... de=VIGBKVR

Help me out please

I've purchases the ST deal through the IK web site so I could use my jammin points. I did this yesterday
I still haven't received my serial #
I entered a service request, but didn't get a receipt from that either.
I tried calling tech support, but I got a message that says "mailbox full" and the phone system hangs up.

Thanks
I responded to your PM. The mails are automated and sometimes get caught in junk filters so please check junk/spam and provide ticket numbers that I could follow up on with support. That will likely happen tomorrow (Monday) PST though. I'll bet they are in your junk mail folder though.

Thanks!

This is probably not the place, but I'm searching everywhere and I can't seem to find the info.

After installing the new packs I realize I have a ton of duplicates from packs I've got over the years. I have sample packs of things that I now have the full package of, and different versions of small packages.

Is it OK to delete things the dups? Is there a preferred way to do this?

thanks

bb

edit; can I combine things into the same folder?

Post

You can combine things into a single folder if you like. Many of us prefer to keep separate folders for different libraries or different instrument types, but the sounds can be arranged pretty much however you wish.

You can also delete the duplicates. Note that you'll also have some duplicate parent samples that have different names. Deleting those can be a bit trickier, as child presets would be looking for the specific samples by name and will give "Instrument Not Found" errors if they can't find the names they're looking for.

Not sure what time zone defines the official end, as it's already past midnight in Modena but not quite there yet in Sunrise, Florida. But we're just 14 users shy of 7000 with about 40 minutes left until midnight Eastern time.

I don't know if the counter will continue to display during the grace period for late registrations or the extra extension from esoundz. All the same, we've put up one heck of a mark for a group buy.

fifteen til midnight, EST... End of an era! Looks like the counter officially stopped at 9986, 14 shy of 7000! DAMN!

And I'll second that. torgo! Thanks again to all the IK, SR, esoundz and KVRers who made this GB so great. I'm sure I won't know how much I'll miss it til it's gone. (ain't it always the way, brothers and sisters!)

Extra shouts and thanks to my southern cousins torgo and Reverend Rhythm, the dirty south represents!

Squids, thanks for the labor of love on the libraries and for creating the new bonus set... "You sir, are a steely-eyed missile man!"

Enjoy the all the cool sounds and I'll see you all on other KVR forums, take care.

Hi. Does anyone know the process to deleting the demo patches? 73EPiano, Alto Sax, etc. The patches that are there before downloading and installing any of the downloaded sound content. Seeing them irks me, and I'd like to make them vanish if possible. Hitting the delete button on the gui wouldn't work. Any help is much appreciated.

Post

There's a few different delete buttons on the GUI, but I'm not sure any of them are for patches. But worst case, just navigate to your instruments folder on your hard drive and delete all the files with the names you don't want - there will be three or four files with extensions like .stw and .sth for parent patches, and a single .stip file for child patches. (Or, if you want an entire folder of patches gone, just delete the folder.)

Once you've physically deleted the files, hit "Relist" in the GUI and you should be good to go.

I just swooped in pretty late in the game... do I have to decide on the 8 libraries and download everything today before midnight PST?
