I am referring to the strumming rhythm instrument! Thanks tho!
I'll have to see if I can fit that into the rhythm guitar's interface.

@Simon: Copy/paste sounds good! I'll see what I can do.

Cool, that really would make me want to use the strumming stuff in my everday workflow.

Downstroke / upstrokes are very simple to determine realistically from a guitarist's viewpoint. Basically all the downbeat strums are downstrokes, and all the upbeat (on the "ands") strums are upstrokes.

there's too much in this for me to describe. If it looks like I could get an inst. to manage this kind of complexity in a 'strumming' part, I'd buy it.

Gorgeous--I love the upright bass, too!

You guys are going to love the updates for Evolution Electric Guitar. I changed the confusing "string lock" control into a new legato style control. One of the new modes, now the default mode, is a strict legato. That means, if you play an interval within the defined legato fretting range, it will ALWAYS play legato.

Ok here's my point of that youtube post:
Gregjazz wrote:... divisions ... just 8th notes and 16th notes.
My 2¢: that is a rather serious limitation for me.

IE: Divisions by 3 and products of 3 at least, are de rigeur.

What I want is this (definitely a copy/paste thing): making *strum timings* (one-shot deals) with the %/speed button and the voicings settings. Beyond one-shots, small phrases (which may be irregular). That I could then trigger from a switch, a library of these little events I built in that sequencer, with switches assigned to each. I don't mind so much if these 'presets' are limited to a per instrument save as, if this is something that can be accomplished.

Does that sound impossible? I'm having trouble abstracting this from what info I've been able to... remember.

+1 for triplets but that is Kontakt/NI problem. In many NI products using step sequencers or tempo synced envelopes like Massive, Absynth and so on you won't find triplets anywhere.

I'm going to see about adding other divisions that allow triplets.

Also, to offer an alternative to the strum sequencer, I'm adding keys to manually trigger full chord downstroke/upstroke strums.

That's too bad about the NI limitations.

Ok, I build rhythms myself by scratch as a rule; I've never been into step sequencers.. I can live with that if I could trigger these customized *strum timings* (for lack of coming up with a better description) and have them as sort of presets.

That's actually the best idea!

Just to get a general idea... does anybody prefer using the step sequencer approach to manually playing strums?

I like both options, but, by far, I prefer to manually play strums.

I would prefer to have both options. The step sequencer is great for quick "normal meter" rhythm creation. :D

I prefer the sequencing. If I want to manually play, I'll pick up a real guitar. :hihi:

So as I imagine it: that sequencer interface is where you save these strums?

Ahhh, interesting idea! So a bunch of keys that play an assortment of strums?
