Having heard some of your stuff, and knowing your fondness for all things electronic, experimental, and radiophonic, I'd say...yes.

Clue 2: you can also add Stephen "Don't Call Me Tin Tin" Duffy to the list, apparently.

(That's the list in the original question, not vurt's list!).

Nope...RIP. But you're thinking along the right lines. Someone who was a bit more in the public eye. And quite annoying, IMHO.

Nigel Kennedy? (certainly fits 'annoying')

Correct! He plays on Talk Talk's "Spirit of Eden"; Kate Bush's "The Sensual World" (and "Experiment IV"); Paul McCartney's single "Once Upon A Long Ago" (which thankfully I've forgotten, although I almost accidentally watched it on YouTube); and Stephen Duffy's album "Music In Colors".

I was starting to run out of clues - I was going to post a picture of Gary Rhodes next!

The floor is yours (although I suspect the quiz players are dwindling)...

The connection?

Django Reinhardt?

[Edit]

Morris Swing
Gypsy Jazz
Quintette du Hot Club de France
I'm guessing that's the particular type of guitar used for gypsy jazz, as it appears in all the photos, but I've no idea what it's called!

[Edit 2] It's a Selmer guitar!

You've got the connection, but how does Morris Swing fit in ?

Arrgh! I meant Minor Swing! My brain's not working...
Wikipedia wrote:"Minor Swing" is a popular Gypsy jazz tune by Django Reinhardt & Stéphane Grappelli. It was first recorded by The Quintet of the Hot Club of France in 1937. It was recorded four other times throughout Reinhardt's career and is considered to be one of his most covered compositions, as well as Gypsy jazz standard.
Although I did spend a while looking at Morris Minor and the Majors...
