We're keeping the link open to buy up until the 14th a 5pm EST. But you need to register the product with IK by the end of the day on the 15th and no later. The GB was officially over on the 6th but we have a grace period that ends TODAY at 5pm Eastern Standard Time. Also remember you MUST register your serial with IK by the end of the day tomorrow to actually still get the deal!

Just so you know, your EXTRAS on esoundz such as the Wild Card and your choice of yet another additional SampleTank library can be done any time. Just the IK choices have to be done by tomorrow.

Squids - gotta say even today I'm STILL tempted to sign on and purchase this Group Buy a fourth time.

It's iMap. Enjoy! Be sure to put the 5 kit variations (to get you started you can do so many) into your SampleTank 3.5 Presets folder for .ikmp patches which are "combis" and are loaded from the top of the module. Those are the "kits" (as opposed to the instruments which are kit pieces).

If you like that we have a bunch of Studiophonik Kits that we're going to release here very very soon. New ones.

I need some advice about using the Grooves.

I am not quite sure how to switch drum loop patterns using these Grooves files.

My prior experience with Sonic Reality drum loops was with the Retro Grooves, which was part of a prior group buy. In that set each loop is on a different note of the keyboard. So, to change loops, you just press a different key on the keyboard. I recorded those onto a MIDI track, so that when playing the track it would play those notes and trigger the corresponding drum loops for those notes.

But, in contrast, the Grooves files from this group buy don't work that way. I downloaded one of them (Nashville). The loop plays only on one key, the B0 key. That key cannot be changed, so the loop plays only when you hit that note on the keyboard.

So I do not see how to conveniently change which loop gets played back as part of my drum track.

It seems that I would have to put each loop file into a different part in SampleTank, and then have each part assigned to a different MIDI channel. Then I would have to have a separate MIDI track correspondingly assigned to those channels for each of the loops I wanted to be played back as part of my drum track, so that when the BO key is pressed the loop on that channel plays back.

But that seems really cumbersome and really not workable (especially if you're using a lot of different drum loops in your drum track), and I'm probably not just understanding it. I can't really see how to use the included midi files. There'd be the same problems using those, since each would have to be on a different track, assigned to the midi channel for the loop file that goes with the particular midi file's drum pattern.

So, I'd really appreciate any advice about how to use these drum loop files, i.e., how to change loops easily and record (and play back) those changes so the loops play back as you want. Also, recording the drum track would be so much easier if you could just press different notes on the fly, which can't be done with the method I described above. It's much easier to change loops just by pressing a different note on the keyboard, and record and play that back on one track, like I did with the RAW Pack loops.

I need to know this, because I haven't downloaded all of my selections. I might get some more drum loops if I get an answer to this question and see how they should be used. So, I need to know in order to complete my selections.
