Cerebrum-c4 has been released and is now available.

Cerebrum is a pattern based drum machine with an onboard bassline synth. There are 8 drums total, each with it's own sequencer with various randomization and velocity features. Designed with live operation in mind, Cerebrum can be used for making complex beats on the fly, with features like the Pattern Playlist and Random Probability, that ensure your rhythms stay interesting. Your beats can then be sent into the Multi-Band FX processor, split into three bands, distorted, crushed and destroyed and then squashed with the overall compressor for getting that classic 'pumping' effect with ease.

  • Specs:
    8 drum modules
    Bass arp-synth module
Versatile sequencers for each drum module including bass synth
Pattern Playlist feature for switching between 4 patterns, manually or automatically
Random Probability options for each sequencer
Aux module for external audio processing
    Multi-Band FX section with compressor
    Host sync or manual tempo
Midi triggering of each sequencer on individual keys
Toggle behavior options for midi triggering
    Mute/solo switches
    Multiple audio outputs
Cerebrum-c4 is available for $49 and can be purchased here:

Is this included in the plugins for life (can't remember what you actually called it) or is this above and beyond that?

I originally posted a thread about Neurosynth upgrades, and set a deadline for May 31. However, since most of you probably didnt see the thread, I'm extending the deadline to June 30, 2010. Read the full details on the upgrading procedure in this thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 87#4132187

Recent Cerebrum3x users get a free upgrade to c4 without any expiration, if you did not receive an email, let me know.

I still have the startup problem with this (like with all earlier versions) in FL.

I load Cerebrum and everytime I press play it takes 1-3 seconds before song starts to play. I will test it tonight with sx3 also. Otherwise it seems better than ever :)

Demo instrument available in first post. Fully functional (almost).
Demo comes with a bunch of presets that play when you start your host sequencer so you can hear "audio demos" that way.

I'll try and post a few audio demos shortly. But like Musical Gym says, just load up the demo version, hit play in your host and it's that easy to preview. The first several presets are good examples of what c4 is capable of.
