Prosoniq sucks. They were a once promising company on the cutting edge, but their lack of new development and their abandonment of PC support destroyed their potential for what could have been.

It's all the fault of the Developer Formerly Known as Stephan M. Sprenger, who is such a pussy, he took his wife's name when he got married. It's no surprise that his full emasculation was complete shortly after, when Prosoniq dropped Windows development.

His name means "demolition expert" in German.

Does anyone actually have one of these horns? I would be very interested in a SFZ or Kontakt sampleset of a Vuvuzela, but ONLY if it was the same pitch mapped across the entire keyboard and only a single velocity layer. A looped sample would be preferable so I could hold the key down and have it play indefinitely, without having any breath sounds or tails.

Dunno. I've got the local equivalent of the vuvuzela ("Trompette" du Carnaval de Québec) but it's pitched in G rather than Bb. They've actually very close to trombones in terms of embouchure and sound, so you can probably recreate it with 50000 layers of badly played trombone.

(And btw, just like other brass instruments, it's mostly ridiculously loud when you blow it ridiculously loud and you stick it right into someone's ear)
