That's what they look like to me - as it happens some believe them to be the food of the Gods/Soma that Frank was on about. Not that that will help you with this question.

The mushroom picture is a doctored photograph.
It's his glands.
I think I have some kind of weird Freudian dyslexia - I read 'glands' as 'glans'.
