Talk about a potential paradigm shift! This could make iPhones AND Amplitube seem cool to me!
I think I need to go lay down...

 :hihi:

It's like the new reincarnation of the RockMan by Tom Scholz. And you can even use it as a phone!
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. :borg:

I loved my Rockman - before I switched to a nice JCM800 senior year, my high school setup was a stereo rig out of a Rockman!

I can actually see a good purpose for this (if it's been mentioned apologies), guitar shopping. Talk about a great way of really knowing how a guitar will sound, no tweaking store amps or sims, just set up a preset and head off to the store :tu:
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Nice idea, Hink.

Can't say too much right now, but be ready in about 9 days from what I'm hearing.

That's actually a great idea. Then you can easily determine how it compares to your other guitars.

8 days... and yes, wonderful idea. We had something similar but also Hink's did not go unnoticed :)

It could really be a wonderful tool not only for what it's designed for (jamming on an iPhone/iPad/iPod touch) but to reduce the amount of error when trying guitars. Think of all the times a guitar sounds good on the gear the store happens to have, but when you get it home, it just doesn't gel. If you can compare with pre-existing equipment you own, it makes for a more educated buying decision.

It's also going to be ridiculous that I can grab an iPad and my guitar and jam at a friend's house with nothing but that going into the PA.

Definitely, polaris20... and 7 days to go... http://www.amplitube.com/irig

Only two more days now before you can try it...

...and tomorrow the app hits the App Store. You can use the included audio files to play through the gear or check back for an easter egg that lets you use your own imported files through the gear so you can import dry/direct guitar sounds and audition.

How much "amplitube" is that "amplitube"?

I mean, its really comparable in terms of audio quality? it sounds as good?

The DSP used is not that of AmpliTube 3 but created by the same team, with the same attention to detail and sound. It is coded from scratch to have the best possible performance/sound for the platform.
