Very cool news, and I'm very interested. :) Please advise when it's ready, I'll be happy to test.

Best,

That covers VST for Linux, Windows and OSX, AU for OSX and LADPSA for Linux. That is pretty much all the formats now :)
That is indeed fantastic! :D

Caco wrote:It's working fine here for me in mulab 3.1.25 with Windows XP, any more details?
tried it last night and it didn't work. hmm...

:?

i will research today with more detail and report!
ok, tried mverb in mulab again, this time on two different machines.

my laptop loads it in mulab 3.1.25 without any problems. the laptop has a single core intel celeron cpu.

my main rig won't load the plugin in mulab 3.1.25!
mulab reports a 'false vst' error. the cpu is a dualcore amd athlon x2 4200+, which means its dualcore. could this be the problem? mulab only uses one core though.

my guess is some missing library or so... did you try to load it in another host on your main machine?

Post

thanks for the tip, jens. seems you're right - wavosaur won't load mverb either on my main machine.

is there anything i can do to fix this?

The latest version should work for you though, try installing the windows redistributable package from Microsoft which contains some libraries that don't always get installed as default by windows.

Post

thanks, hope that one will work!

about the windows redistributable package, do you mean the visual c++ pack? that's what google shows me.

That sounds like the one, it may help if you are missing some windows dlls somewhere. Another option is to download a free program called dependency walker and load mverb in that. It will then tell you whether you are missing anything MVerb needs :)

thanks for the reverb Martin, works great in energy Xt , easy to get a well balanced reverb setting on various material

whoa, that dependency walker thingie is a brilliant tool! thanks Caco! apparently, my main machine is missing msvcr90.dll and msjava. i will try and fix that now. thanks again for helping!

I doubt you will need msjava as I don't use Java anywhere within MVerb but msvcr90.dll will likely be installed as part of the Microsoft Redistributable Package. Hopefully that will get everything working for you :)

Post

well that's very curious. i've fixed the msvcr90 problem, but mverb still won't load, and here's what dependency walker reports:

http://i49.tinypic.com/2mxqxxj.png

anyway, i will try installing java now and see if this will fix things.

EDIT:
[from the dependency walker FAQ page]
Q: Why is MSJAVA.DLL showing up in yellow (missing module) and I get a "Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found" message?

A: The MSHTML.DLL module that was released with Windows XP SP2 and Windows 2003 SP1 has a delay-load dependency on MSJAVA.DLL. Missing delay-load dependencies are not a problem as long as the calling DLL is prepared to handle the missing module. Dependency Walker flags all potential problems as it cannot detect if an application intends to handle the issue. In this particular case, MSJAVA.DLL is an optional module, and MSHTML.DLL is prepared to handle it. This warning can be ignored. See the "How to Interpret Warnings and Errors in Dependency Walker" section in help for more details.
ok, i'm completely puzzled now.
