Yes -- THIS is what we do here with our toys.

We don't need no stinkin' "special" plug-in for this purpose.

If you really prefer a notch filter then you haven't tried the Prosoniq plug in (or you're deaf). It *is* way better, my only problem is that there's no PC version.

I have found that you can make quite accurate recreations of the vuvazela noise by squeezing your butt cheeks together when you fart. To simulate crowd noise do this in your girlfriends face....

You know, I just HAD to do a screen-capture of Waves' "Vuvuzela Noise Reduction"..... er, um..... oh, I just HESITATE to use the word -- "solution"....

BECAUSE I feel that I need proof: if I tried to explain this "solution" to people with even remotely rational minds, then they'd look at me as if I'd grown 15 more heads.

Seriously, no one would believe me.

And then to see that you have to create multiple instances of each plug-in, and chain 'em together, to "achieve optimal results" -- wha?????

With that kind of pricing, you may as well just either (a) buy the Mercury bundle (HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!) or, more reasonably, (b) eat a bullet!

ONLY Waves would generate this kind of "solution." With all of their (supposed) resources, just how freakin' hard of a time could they possibly have compiling ONE stinkin' plug-in that already does all of this for the customer?

Here's their message: we've got a sloppy, makeshift idea for you, and it'll cost thousands, but you won't have to listen to the horns anymore. And it will also "increase the intelligibility of the game announcers' play-by-play action and color commentary."

Yes, let's play to the announcers' egos!!! Have you ever listened to these lame-brains? (Of course, we can't avoid 'em.) Half the time, like most sports announcers, they're not even talking (or talking meaningfully) about the game at hand -- they turn into gossip gabbers and gab-gab-gab...

And we want to hear this crap more clearly?

I want a plug-in that'll remove the vuvuzelas AND the commentators. Better yet, I'll just dig around the plug-ins I already have and derive my own solution.

Of course, we know that TV producers aren't the brightest stars in the firmament (more like dull, distant moons -- COLD moons... very cold.... brrrr), so I can hear the cash register going "Cha-CHING!" at Ye Olde Waves Online Store right now - especially if the announcers threaten to commit seppuku: "Either the horns go, or I start spilling intestines!"

Haha, nope! I wish I did, but I think it's more funny since I didn't. I'm generally a person who doesn't complain about Waves' prices(nor do I own any of their stuff either), but using a plug-in THAT expensive, which may very well be spectacular, to help people solve a problem that will only be around for three or four weeks, is a bit over the top, IMO.

Surely the correct method is laser assisted AK47 at the Stadium. This will reduce the overall level by -100db and will be more effective on each use. You may need to remove the AK47 noise with a pop n click filter (and maybe muffle a few screams) but hey, prevention is better than cure. Alternatively, post Tony Soprano types at the entrance to actively remove the issue...
