Your bf has sense! Especially since any half-@$$#d filter, compressor, and/or EQ can already do the job. If you want to do a really good job, then you just need to be creative with them!

You know TV -- broadcasters just LOVE to throw away money. (And what do they care -- it's from advertisers foolish enough to buy airtime. It's real... and the preset is free.
It's the WNS plugin that costs $2900 (and $150 for Q10).

They're just using the opportunity to sell plugins at their regular price.

I approached this thread with great optimism. Finally, a new type of filter that's so outstanding in it's field, it's a vuvuzela filter. It was a very exciting idea for me. But, now it appears to just be another weapon in a war to be heard. I can't say I am impressed at all.
