There always been a long standing rivalry between the z3ta camp and Zebra camp

They both start with Z...

Hey it's Catherine Z3ta Jones and not Catherine Zebra Jones. That says it all really

Anyone know what kind of copy protection is this using? I haven't read the whole thread yet, so I apologize if this has already been answered.

Thanks in advance,

I heard U-he is going to name the next version Z3bra+++ just to rub it in. :D

breakmixer has been quite, he must rounding up the mods, sounds and skins. Told him he should have done it while waiting for the serial to arrive. See, now hes behind the 8 ball.

Curious to know what it replaced, not a compete list obviously :) but maybe a couple of examples and how it replaced them.

cheers.

LOL, no, for the last hour I've been browsing the presets and experimenting with Z3ta, Big Tone's Bank in the thing shows what it can do apart from the Tarnce and acid stuff, it kinda takes me back to 1989 the sounds this thing can do,

It's absolutely amazing and a great starter synth, I felt right at home with it, this is a synth to really learn on, it does squelchy electro, acid, techno, Chigago, tarnce, d&B, early electronica, even jazz sounding wurli, absolutely amazing! This is a do it all synth, most of the presets are geared towards that Euphoric Tarnce sound though - not my bag but they do sound good...

Can't believe they sold it this cheap!

I still like Ace though, just wish Ace was as easy to program as this thing!

I love it

Huh? ACE hard to program? No way. It is dead nuts simple.

I would call ACE "deceptively simple" meaning that it is simple to program but allows complex and deep patching. It also lends itself quite will to experimentation and sounds excellent.

I decided against adding Z3TA to my over-full collection of software synthesizers. I own Rapture and Dimension Pro already.

The interface is very intuitive despite have 6 osc, 6 lfos and 6 EGs. It all right there. Having sliders rather than knobs is a nice break. Plus its looks good with the grain texture on the UI, though arguably a bit modest.

You can see why this was a big hit. Multi-mode filters, lots of osc types, deep mod matrix, classic set of effects and it sounds great. Its also got a X Y pad to boot.

You really start to appreciate it when you pick an odd osc type, open the Shaper see how dead simple it to alter the actual wave shapes sonically, complete with real-time graphic representation.

With so many people picking it up now, there will be a new batch of sounds for it which it could really use as all that trance stuff is a bit dated. The muz3um bank is good for classic vintage analog patches.

Gribs will have by the end of the week if didnt pick it up already! Tonight he will be laying in bed, toss around a few hours, try to convince himself he doesnt want it just like he did with Ultra Analog, toss around some more, then around 2:35 AM he will turn back on his pc wait impatiently for it to boot and do the deed. He wont tell us though, but we'll know. :D

Just a serial number, but you have to log onto your Cakewalk account to find it.

Nah, I never bought Ultra Analog. However, I do own Dimension Pro because Kelly's Music and Computers cleared it out for an insanely low price (I don't use Sonar).

Is it still bugged?

Edit again: Read previous posts, it just takes it time to send you the serial, you wont get it right away

Post

Yes but I *think* that someone said in this forum that z3ta+ have few bugs years ago, that Cakewalk don't want to fix. So I don't know if they're fixed or they're selling at this low price because it's about to be discontinued with bugs, as they usually do.

...this guy has great soundbanks for great prices (and not only for Z3ta+)...

...a shame it won't get any update - if a Rapture 2 would properly import Z3ta+ presets and if there would be an upgrade path I'd seriously consider it...
