I think people are just running out of degrading, and humiliating things to say about macs, or windows that haven't already been repeated before.
After a while, when the record keeps skipping, you have to get up and bitch slap that machine to get it going again, but if it keeps skipping too much, you end up using it as a frisbee.
Light it on fire first, then throw.
It looks cool that way.


To some posters who replied to my last post with "that's why mac users are twats, stupid, idiots", and similar.
Nothing comes closer to an idiot, then one who would associate intelligence by what computer one uses.
I know you might need some time to think about that one, but you'll get it eventually.
Might take you a few hours though.

Seeing as statements like "That's why mac users are idiots...etc." are so funny and humorous.
My last few posts, actually had humor within them, that required some thought and imagination to see.

Apparently windows users are not capable of the thought necessary to see the humor within those posts.

It is kind of obvious how Jobs would say the stationary computer is dead if you have read his history.

He wanted to be part of the Lisa team because that was the "in" thing at that moment at Apple. When he was denied that and put on the much less interesting Macintosh project. He carried on telling everyone on the team how the Macintosh would be the next great thing not even stopping at making fun of the old stuffy bastards at the Apple II division (who were the only ones making money at that time and good money at that) and how they were going to pwn the Lisa team.
The thing was the Lisa project had the highest priority but he could care less. His team was going to "win" and that was the end of it.

Now his latest puppy is the iPad.History is repeating itself.

When Jobs returned to the helm at Apple a decade ago he had each of the sections/teams present to him. Many project were axed as part of his regime of swingeing cuts to stem the flow of red ink. The Newton crew pretty much knew that they were for the chop. The Newton was Spindler's baby and Spindler showed Steve the door years earlier. The iPad is to some extent The Return of the Son of Newton although Jobs might prefer iPad: The Wrath of Steve.

The technology has moved on obviously but Apple has had no marketed products in this space since the last editions of the Newton which - from all reports - actually getting to be decent products after some embarrassment with the failings of the early models (eg being lampooned on Doonesbury). I think Steve would have more of his personal vanity invested in the success of this product than than he has in anything else Apple are flogging.
