the speed trainers usually keep the pitch and just slow it down.
Have fun with the phone when it arrives, some fun apps for sure!

That might be one of the a la carte items for the AmpliTube iPhone app. Probably the second most-requested feature after recording.shanecgriffo wrote:the speed trainers usually keep the pitch and just slow it down.

I bought this yesterday:
http://www.akaipro.com/synthstation
I haven't got the time yet to get deeper into Synthstation but so far it sounds pretty good. You get a drum machine with several kits, 3 VA synths(1 poly+2 mono), an effect unit and a sequencer. There's also several controls for performance. It will be fun to play with this in the weekend

I have spent too much too but have waited for this app so long. It was announced in CM 149 (March) and they said it was released already but obviously not. I guess AKAI quickly had to make an iPad version.shanecgriffo wrote:saw it and almost bought it but i've been buying too much other stuff so it might have to wait, let us know how you find it.
I have (as mentioned in another post) tried it a bit more today. I have a short example here.
My opinion so far is:
+ Great synthesizers. 3 OSCs each with several waveforms and filter types, ring mod and osc sync. 2 EGs and a LFO
+ Easy to use sequencer
+ Good performance tools like virtual keyboard, xy pad and joystick (I used the xy pad on the synth pad thing)
+ you can adjust the level and pan of each drum sample
+ good kits
- if you have all synths on with complex patches Synthstation might cough when you drag a slider or do other edits (on my iPhone 3GS)
- all channels (3 synths+drums) shares the same effect though you can adjust the amount individually
- you adjust the pan in the instrument and not in the mixer
- no reverb
