Sample Tank

Owning SampleTank, Reason and Kontakt samplers I can can see why at times products are released in multi formats. Each sam/rompler has it's own merits. Some may argue sound quality vs stretching vs customizing etc. All of these plug-ins are essential I'm finding. One of the things I really like about SampleTank is it's multi-timbrel function. You can get some really powerful sounds just by using one plug-in. Hopefully SampleTank 3 is on the horizon with some new tweaks adding to the current ones that keeps it's position with the others. Reason5 is in beta testing now and the new Kontakt engine. It seems to me and I may be in the minority that IK has been a little too preoccupied making iPhone apps, first GrooveMaker and now AmpliTube for iPhone. They have the Amplitude family going nicely and TRacks3 along with the SampleTank derivate players (Tron,Mirsolav,Moog, etc). I hope SampleTank3 comes to quote Bill Clinton "much sooner than later" Just a Saturday afternoon rant
