Hi, there,

I'm trying to create my own drum kit with ST from wav files. The goal is to make one "instrument" for each drum type, in order to use it as a separate out. Snare as one, kick as another, toms as another, etc.

Obviously this means that the range of keys for each instrument would have to be separate. But once I imported the snare, the range knobs didn't seem to limit the keyrange at all.

For instance, I put both the high range and the low range to C2, but other keys outside of that could still trigger the sample.

Is this how it's supposed to work? It doesn't seem that way, so what am I doing wrong?

Thanks a lot for any input,

- Paul

I think the "Studiophonik" combis from the wild card pack (if you ordered from esoundz.com) are set up in a similar way. You can use them as examples.
