Here is another great demo from Przemyslaw Kopczyk. It shows the funky side of Electri6ity:

Electri6ity is cool, I've been experimenting with it on the Eigenharp. Will be recording a video with it soon.

Great demo! I assume all guitar parts in this demo are Electri6ity? Including the short guitar solo? It really sounds very nice and authentic because of the way picking noises are used.dynamitec wrote:Here is another great demo from Przemyslaw Kopczyk. It shows the funky side of Electri6ity:

And yes, all guitars are Electri6ity.

I'm a little late to the KVR forum, just joined it. Glad i read this thread, I wasn't
aware of the Electri6ity update.
Add me to the list of people who think this is hands down the best virtual guitar
instrument ever. I own - let's see, just about every virtual guitar instrument ever
made. Electri6ity sounds like a real guitar, not a "really good sample". In fact I
had to replace some arpeggiated guitar tracks for a project I've been mixing
recently - called up Electricity's Strat, ran it through Amplitube Fender - holy
cow, it sounds better than the tracks the real guitarist recorded.
Stunning product - a must-have, not an option, for anyone with a busy studio.

I'll second that. It's superb. Some of the demos don't fully show off what this plugin is capable of, yet the ones that do really show where it shines.Dave Polich wrote:Stunning product - a must-have, not an option, for anyone with a busy studio.
And it shines brightly.
The only thing that would stand a chance of beating Electri6ity is Efflam's Dark Lady guitar, or the Prominy libraries which are superb. Of these three, hypothetically it's a toss-up. I would take Dark Lady because it most likely won't chew up any RAM while providing the realistic sound of guitars.
I'm looking forward to really using Electri6ity in my projects. In the end I'll be using a session guitarist (a friend who goes to the same church as I do) and we'll compare recordings made with the real axe and those done with Electri6ity. Chances are good that the real axe will chop the plugin in half as there is something about a real axe that I'm not sure can be achieved with ANY plugin, synthesized/modeled nor sampled.
As good as these recent and upcoming plugins are, I don't think guitarists have any reason to freak out. And brass, wind, and sax players don't have anything to worry about either, as good as WIVI and Samplemodeling plugins sound.
There will always be a place for the real player/real instrument.
And vocalists? I'm not sure if we'll ever be able to replace those

no question - elictri6ity sounds great, but i'd love to hear more "of that funky stuff"
could you plz reproduce some of smooth rhythm guitar like from chic - forbidden dancer? (sounds like a competition)
which guitar/ setup was used in funk-o-town for the higher rhythm guitar part? (guitar rig? which effect?)
thx

hi,
i am looking for a good metal guitar sound. Those guitars are tuned down to get that extra deep sound.
Did you sample the tuned downed sounds as well.? Really needed for metal.
thanks

I bought Prominy LPC when it came out, then when I got a new audio drivebenjamind wrote:The only thing that would stand a chance of beating Electri6ity is Efflam's Dark Lady guitar, or the Prominy libraries which are superb. Ben
for my PC I had to re-install it. I was immediately reminded of why I stopped
using it. Every single sample sounds like they clipped the converters in recording.
Furthermore, while you do have every note of every string sampled, the library
is broken up into individual strings, so you have to "assemble" your own
guitar from those.
Really a bad product. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
To bartp - you can set Electricity so that the lowest note will be C. You could
detune the instrument from the Kontakt interface, but there is no special "drop-tune"
switch or button in Electricity itself.
Keep in mind there is no such thing as a "metal guitar". The metal sound comes from
the amplification, effects, and the playing technique.

And the guitar wood, the strings and pickups. Maybe I missed it but there doesn't appear to be anything in Electri6ity loaded with EMG 81s or aggressive passive pups like Bare Knuckle's Warpig. I doubt any of the guitars were strung 12-60 either.Dave Polich wrote:Keep in mind there is no such thing as a "metal guitar". The metal sound comes from
