uhm...that's a bit unclear, but I remember reading there will be a new way of registering SR products that use IP, as the old way forces you to instal the IP, which is some kind of a Kontakt 2 instrument, that I definetly do not need on my system, but it's needed for registration purposes.

Any news on that?

Cheers,

1.) Locate and install Kontakt Player 4. Follow ALL onscreen instructions.

2.) Locate the Infinite Player folder and drag it to a location of your choice.
NOTE: Windows Vista / 7 users must choose the Documents folder or a
secondary drive (ie, external) for the library location.

3.) Locate the Infinite Library Installer appropriate for your operating system
(located in the Infinite Library Installers folder). Drag the Library Installer to your
desktop and double-click to open it.

4.) Drag each of the .zip files from the Product Discs onto the Infinite
Library Installer. DO NOT unzip the files. When asked for the location of your
Infinite Player folder, browse to the location chosen in Step 2.

5.) Launch Kontakt Player 4. Once open click the "add Library" tab and navigate
to your Infinite Player folder. Once you have located the Infinite Library folder, a
message will pop up saying "Kontakt will now add the library to the Service
Center, please provide admin rights if prompted". Hit the "Ok" button. Kontakt
Player will be running in DEMO mode. Demo mode works for 30 minutes at a
time.

6.) You must activate the library in the Native Instruments Service Center
application (installed in Step 1). Click "Activate" on the Infinite Player (as seen
below) to launch the Native Instruments Service Center. Use the included serial
number and follow the Service Center instructions to activate your Infinite Player.

But I've got a follow-up question.

I've got both Infinite Player and Kontakt installed. After authorising the IP library using Service Center, can I uninstall Infinite Player?

Ok, I'll do that thanks.

Why the Documents folder (I'm on W7)?

lost.

1) I have Kontakt 4.1 installed (Komplete 6 owner)
2) Where do I locate IP folder? - this probably means I have to install the IP player that I got from SR (It's IP 1.1) - I think this one comes with K2 player embedded in the installer...

It means the IP Library folder (I think). Perhaps you just need to create it somewhere

Why "Documents" or an external disk - not sure, a Vista/W7 user Access Control issue. Miy library is in Q:\Sonic Reality\Infinite Player.

[I have not used this procedure as I already had IP installed.]

The Infinite Player installer no longer installs a Kontakt Player. It only installs an Infinite Player folder and the needed folders and files within. The reason you need to choose Documents or a secondary drive for the library location is because the Infinite Library Installer will not install t he ZIPS into the program files on Vista and 7. If anyone has any questions you can feel free to email me. allen (at) esoundz (dot) com.

Thanks Allen,

I wonder, is it worth changing its name to "Infinite Player Data installer" alongside the "Infinite Player library installer"
