Enjoying the demo at the moment - its capable of producing some really great sounds. If there's an intro price deal I would certainly buy this.

love
any chance of tempo sync?

Very nice synth!
Finally something that is easy and musical to use for Granular stuff.

Some suggestions to make this one a REAL no-brainer (price wise)

1. Tempo sync modulations
2. MIDI learn (?)
3. Ability to modulate (scanning) the segmented grain loop
4. tighter general envelope (especially the attack)

james would need to address this , in more detail ...

the manual covers item 02 ...
please see page 13 ...

item 03 is possible , but not perhaps in the manner you wish ...
refer to section 3 , in the manual , starting on page 7 ...

Modulating/automating loop points is on the roadmap. That was my one main request during testing, and James said it's on the todo list.

Out of curiosity.. is Alchemy able to do this? It seems like it should, but I'm still learning it.

Damn, doesn't work right on my system (continual sound, gui just flashes black)...my stuff must be too old, I guess. Oh well.

re : continual sound ...
engage the gate function ...

un-check 'enable hardware acceleration' ...

see if that changes anything ...

Thanks ew for clarifying.
Modulating the loop points is very important..
This instrument is really done right!
I am definitely getting this as soon as I get my own products out the door (finally!!!)

If you are getting an empty window, you probably need to update your graphic card drivers (Granite is using certain HW acceleration features).

The standalone version GUI works fine, but I get no sound (probably due to drivers). The VSTi version gives me continuous sound, but a blank black flashing rectangle for a GUI.

@ norm: I didn't see a tab for "graphics" in the "set-up" window, in the standalone version.

meh ...
right you are ...
hadn't noticed that ...

do you have something like 'mini-host' installed ?...
if so , you can access the graphics tab when granite is inserted there ...

What a pity it sounds and looks wonderful but I can't get it to run stably on my system at all. The standalone crashes the most - can't keep it open for more than a few seconds - but the plugin also crashes after playing with it for a while or importing a new sample.

Brand new system - i7 laptop, NI KORE audio interface, Win 7 x64

That being said it's not unlike a simpler (but prettier) version of Travelizer from Reaktor (only with much easier audio file import)
