There's a slight chance that I might get my hands on a used Cort EVL Z4 for $150.
It has a few rusty screws on it, and the matte finish is polished to shiny. But it sounds cool and the EMG pickups alone worth that money.
Opinions? :)

Okay, I've got it for that money. I absolutely love it! It's more versatile than I thought. A metal beast with a soft side.
Unfortunately the AT3 Demo doesn't work on my current pc. The guitar's sound isn't unleashed as the integrated soundcard has so much hiss and impedance difference.
And I'll have to work my ass off for a new pc... But it totally worth it! :D

Sounds like a no-brainer to me. :tu:
Can't argue with that price. :)
Have fun,

Some progress on my next guitar. Ebony/maple neck and black hardware has all arrived.

That's a nice looking neck. Is that something you do yourself or do you need a shop guy to do it?

I'll pay the Luthier to put the neck on and set it up.

All the other stuff I've done, like make the new pickguard, the circuit, replace the bridge etc.

A fun project.

Just tried a Classic Vibe '50 Strat, and a Custom Telecaster from Squier today. They are both very versatile (especially the strat) and cause of the size, I felt somewhat tiny when trying them. I loved the sound of both, so much different than my metal monster.
And what do you think, what guitar fits more to complement my Cort Z4? A Strat or a Tele?
(Nay, I don't have GAS, just curious what to look for 5 years from now :D )

It's funny, as much as I'm a professed sufferer of G.A.S. the last time I wanted a new guitar was 1992 when I got my Steinberger. OK, I did get a cheap acoustic at some point after that, but it hangs on a wall rarely used. It's not like I'm not on my guitars every day. My G&L and Steinbergers just do the trick.

It looks much much sexier in real than the photos.
