Or

For some shreds and bluesgrass all at the same time. Wierd make up is optiontional but for less than £500 its a decent price but lacks the snap of the brass bridge

Temptations i must resist:

Interesting list !
- Baja Tele - if you find one with good, resonant wood this might be a keeper, nothing wrong with the hardware for sure :tu:
- John5 - this one will sound nothing like a Tele, might be a fine rock guitar though, never played one...
- Marshall 6100 - damn hard to resist, these are great amps  and very convenient with the MIDI switching. I'd have it biased for EL34s personally, though the 5881s might actually be better suited for modern styles.
Price is allright cosidering condition and footaitch
- Egnater - a good, versatile allounder, somewhat lacking an original voice though. The power tube mixing feature is not as spectacular as could be expected imho.
- Transatlantic - haven't heard it yet, you know my soft spot for Mesas, but I've seen Mark IIs and JMPs in fine condition go for considerably less lately, so at least new it's not for me.

All very biased, personal opinions of course ...

I may have found a fatal flaw  I can only assume because of the springs/trem/etc it resonates d's and a's almost like there is a reverb chamber....kinda annoying. See I play with headphones so I hear every little detail.

We'll see how it goes :phones:

Typical for Floyds, some like it, some hate it, some incorporate it in their style like Vai or Satriani.
Nothing a piece of soft foam wrapped loosely around the springs wouldn't cure.

Yeah, I had to do that with my strat.

Like I said :phones: :D

My style is based around the floyd 100%, for palm-muting it just feels so right and as its possible to fluctuate pitch without using the arm loads its great for adding almost natural 'tricks' depending on where the palm is muting related to the bridge. Heavier gauge string set along with foam on the and around the coils will stop that. Also im not sure how many springs are in yours hibidy, but i use three i a formation like this everytime /|\ which means less springs and more tension on the springs in their = coils are working harder than they would oppose to 5 straight ones :) which works well for me (even some bog roll stuffed in the the back will/should get rid of it)

Bully it

You seem to have great taste!

Check out the Egnater Tweaker, I personally prefer it over the more expensive models:

Here's the back, it has two larger springs and two smaller strings and then one single spring.......haven't quite figured out the "adjustable" setting. I'm just dopey.....I just took my fingernail over the springs and they are RINGING off the hook! I don't know why that didn't occur to me in the first place :?

Oh sorry my bad - its an Edge III which is Ibanez's own designed system = forget the floyd spring arrangement as its totally different. Foam it :)

I think they call it a ZR.

Trust me, I couldn't keep up with all that I read up on with FR, edge III, double locking, etc etc. It's like eventually you just have to say "wtf?" and try one of 'em

I hear nothing but good things about godins.

I've never seen one though  You'd think with two guitar centers and godin's rep they'd at least have had a couple of them (and we have skips too)

My next guitar is gonna be my G&L Legacy (the current main one) with a new neck. Fatter, 4L/2R headstock and more resonant). And that's almost about it, I'm quite happy ATM already.

Depending on features I may consider the starr labs "Rock Controller)
It's a smaller prs/z6 body with a completely new neck.
