the ARP in XT2 can do some GREAT things (like MPC Style note repeat)
but i cant find a sync option for the arp? it seems to only be triggered by Note on
any tips?
or is this a FR?

I'm not sure I've definitely understood you, are you asking from it to always be in sync with the track rather than syncing to tempo from the note on? If so, it doesn't do that but then I've never known an arp do that.

The arp is synced to the master tempo (connected in modular view) so it 'is' synced to a track , what else
would one want to sync it to? (audio level envellope triggering by an audiopart?) , the note on is just a gate that has nothing to do with the temposync, or maybe you expressed yourself not clearly and you mean
how the arp is triggered and that it resets to the first triggered note/step everytime you give it a new note on?

hi paladium
most interesting!!
currently i am using the arp in vst version of XT2 inside Reaper & it dose not stay in sync
the timeing is correct but if i go from no notes to hold a hi hat half way through a beat then the repeats play off time with it,
maybe this is how it works in XT as a host?
i tried using the arp in modular view & going through a synced sequencer
the best workaround i found was to send a note every 4 beats on a key that plays nothing so as to trigger the arp in time
if this is just use error i would be most grateful for some guidance

I think that would account more to the beat division of the arp so itBeno. wrote:hi paladium

doesnt stay in the division of the previous held note when a new note on is triggered before the end of a bar or several bars, basically it free-runs after the first note off, so yes you could discribe this as a sync error
