Why doesn't cantabile play back some midi files?

I love Cantabile, let's get that out of the way to begin with, so no gripes there.

I use a program to generate midi, it does, and cantabile records the output. However when I play back the recorded output no sounds. This isn't a general midi problem, most midi files play back well. The program is a windchime generator which plays and holds notes according to the principles of a windchime. It is very old and the midi files look odd when loaded into cantabile, very long notes indeed. But still, they should play back as the program plays them to begin with via midi yoke into cantabile and plugins.

There's no attach option here so I can't give you an example of the files that don't play back.

Any advice fellas ?

I am confused about this.

To get sound when playing back a midi file in Cantabile you have to load plugins and route the midi data to that.

If you use multiple pluigins you have to route the midi channels accordingly.

Maybe it's an issue with program changes that are ignored anywhere?

Hi.. sorry for the confusion, it's a midi file thats sent to a rack with a plugin synth. The windchime plays the plugin via yoke1, and cantabile records the midi. But when I play back the cantabile recorded midi I get no sound from the plugin. Program changes are suppressed, but enabled still the same result.
