Hello,

I keep on working on my ambitious project to make a pop songs album
with songs I wrote and sung by KVR singers,

after one year I had Barnadine to bring this song alive!

This is an unmastered pre mix, comments are needed! Thanks

well, it's very interesting to hear Barnadine's voice inside a different arrangement from his usual compositions.
Very nice song and expressive performance

Cheers

wow, that is stunningly beautiful!
really cool
liqih - your music always seems to me, to have an other-worldly feeling to it..
always a bit of an edge and magical.
and this with barnadine's marvelous voice..

I like the song. The vocal sounds low in the mix and slightly muddy to me, but there's a good chance that's my ear and cheap headphones. In any case, nice work and thanks.

Great tune liqih and I'm a Barnadine fan as well so anything he's singing on has a head start imo. Thanks to you both!

Agreed. Although Barnadine's voice tends to be quiet I think there are spots in the track where it's too low.

Thanks guys! (bluedad! Extra Cheers for your words)

Thanks for the feedback, I'll push the voice up, actually I thought that the drums were too loud

[edit] And it's indeed muddy in the range where the voice overlaps bass and piano,
this morning when I made the quick mix I had the volume too low to realize that,
but I now I can here it

That's much faster than I remember singing it. :hihi:

This is really coming together, liqih. Those modulating sections feel more natural now, and I like how the effected vocals play against the main ones. Top stuff.

Happy to resing my part at the new tempo if you want. :tu:

better sound?
I think so, yes. I didn't feel like I was straining to hear the vocal anywhere as I did here and there in the first one.

(You might consider mentioning the new mix in the subject line so people who heard the first version know there's more here now. I almost missed it.)

only listened to the Barnadine mix... nice song + arrangement. I was only listening on headphones, but I felt the little wah/vocoder(?) effect stepped on the main vocal a little, especially in the chorus, but i like the effect, just needs a better balance. other than that, good tune, you two work well together as I seem to remember another collab between you that I also liked. :) 8)

oh, ok, it's the same mix... thought I had listened to the wrong one for a minute. oh well, it was worth another listen. :)
