Rebirth RB-338 is easy to find, just google it. This thread is for the more obscure, hard to find stuff not a replacement for using a search engine! :P

I *think* Virtual Waves 2.0 was commercial software and the company went out of business/moved on. I seriously doubt you're going to find it legally anywhere.

triumph1, You could try contacting Nicolas Fournel the author of Virtual Waves 2.0: http://www.nicolasfournel.com/

There are also various music related programs on that site.

A link to the demo of virtual waves has been posted recently in this thread.

The limiter sounds the best to me, I can't use that "sound" anymore, but it is pretty good.
I thought I'd mention that there are a couple more plugs that can be gotten there by looking in the directory where the downloads are.

Hello, I've been sniffing around this forum for a couple of months now and despite the ridiculous ammount of links there are four that I wish for.

Four synths that have eluded me for 7 or 8 weeks. It doesn't matter about the hundreds of others that I can't find. These four are toying with me!

3 from the following site;

And Atolla which sat there for weeks begging me to find it at

http://web.archive.org/web/201007101424 ... Index.html

And has since disappeared from the site. And mysteriously turned up at KVR with no link !

still working thru 'Exoten'. gonna keep me busy for a while.

ah yeah, great tips nekro, thanks, forgot about those.
chickensystems is good: everything to/from everything else; haven't looked at it for
a while. needs to actually read the disks first tho'.

THAT REQUIETUS LINK is wicked; getting hold of the nick crow stuff usually mean
jumping though some hoop

(thinks: i have a 80+GB sample library. akaidisks?..)

EVERYBODY gotta have the most recent version of one of the great VSTi:

trimph1, for hosts to run on a Pentium II, how about a tracker like MadTracker or something?

For piano roll hosts, Tunafish is 'lightweight.' Maybe it would run on that machine...

Yes this is gone but it was only a demo so you don't care, do you?

Post

Well, yes I do care.......to an extent.

There isn't anything that isn't worth a whirl round. Some of the demos I have
are brilliant and even things like dropouts/noise don't take a scientist to
work around. And no reverse engineering involved.

Anyway thanks for the J-Stuff and the info on Atolla.

The reason I wanted these is because they became like a recurring nightmare,
kept dragging me back. The worst site was one of the japanese sites. I'd drag back across the screen and find hidden links but everything was dead. Mind I never had a tag on what I was after, just the occasional word like VSTi but, with no picture, you don't get the same attatchment so I over that.

Once again, many thanks.

Post

Well if you're really desperate about it you could always PM its author I guess...

I got the MadTracker on the PII, found VSThost seems to work on it as well. Thanks for the "Tunafish" thing as well. That'll come in handy here-- :D :D

This is a new program by the Outsim Synthmaker people, there's a free version, but exporting to vst is disabled. Looking through it, I don't understand any of the new stuff, it's basically SM with more modules.
