Mike Daliot, according to the credits in Massive, is the top guy in developing it...he's also done some brillant Reaktor ensembles...I wouldn't be surprised if he prototyped it in Reaktor.....( but, as usual, some will say I'm wrong againrobindrieghe wrote:the only thing that can make reaktor 6 better than previous ones is turn massive into an ensemble and include it

Massive was prototyped in Reaktor, but that's the extent..Massive is NOT a Reaktor ensemble exported to vst.strav101 wrote:Mike Daliot, according to the credits in Massive, is the top guy in developing it...he's also done some brillant Reaktor ensembles...I wouldn't be surprised if he prototyped it in Reaktor.....( but, as usual, some will say I'm wrong againrobindrieghe wrote:the only thing that can make reaktor 6 better than previous ones is turn massive into an ensemble and include it![]()

there is a mike daliot reaktor ensemble , called 'massive' ...bluedad wrote:Massive was prototyped in Reaktor, but that's the extent..Massive is NOT a Reaktor ensemble exported to vst.strav101 wrote:Mike Daliot, according to the credits in Massive, is the top guy in developing it...he's also done some brillant Reaktor ensembles...I wouldn't be surprised if he prototyped it in Reaktor.....( but, as usual, some will say I'm wrong againrobindrieghe wrote:the only thing that can make reaktor 6 better than previous ones is turn massive into an ensemble and include it![]()

This. And, if you think the CPU load's high in Massive, you'd be shocked by how crushing it would have been with the proof of conceptbluedad wrote:Massive was prototyped in Reaktor, but that's the extent..Massive is NOT a Reaktor ensemble exported to vst.strav101 wrote:Mike Daliot, according to the credits in Massive, is the top guy in developing it...he's also done some brillant Reaktor ensembles...I wouldn't be surprised if he prototyped it in Reaktor.....( but, as usual, some will say I'm wrong againrobindrieghe wrote:the only thing that can make reaktor 6 better than previous ones is turn massive into an ensemble and include it![]()

Here is a screenshot (I love the new controls):
I've done everything with primary level modules and core cells, no macros (except the reverb, which is a slightly modified version of micro verb).
Sorry for spamming around. I just had to share this with someone

I had a quick test of this on my i5 games/general-purpose/3D/fxteleport system. Didnt get much time because I finally installed all of Komplete6 on it which ate my evening.
Is it me (I couldnt actually get anything above about 20% CPU usage) or does this do multiprocessor balancing quite nicely?

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

I was wondering about improved cpu efficiency when I saw the list of features. Any modular software synth is going to have some overhead that wouldn't occur in a dedicated synth design, so there's always some opportunity to improve the efficiency of a modular synth like Reaktor, esp now with multi-core processors.

It doesn't multithread. What you're seeing is better optimized code.whyterabbyt wrote:I had a quick test of this on my i5 games/general-purpose/3D/fxteleport system. Didnt get much time because I finally installed all of Komplete6 on it which ate my evening.

It's certainly running faster than previous versions for me. I'm quite enjoying this update, I hope I actually have any time to truly dive in and test it out thoroughly..whyterabbyt wrote:I had a quick test of this on my i5 games/general-purpose/3D/fxteleport system. As a plugin, Norm? Click on the arrow next to the browser icon or right click on the instrument header; in the view menu's where you change sizes.normal wrote:i'm sure i'll find it momentarily , but where is the little 're-size' button ?...
