As a plugin, Norm? Click on the arrow next to the browser icon or right click on the instrument header; in the view menu's where you change sizes.

Hi everyone,

So last night I downloaded the beta of Reaktor 5.5.1 and WOW is all I can say. I finally got to play with Electronic Instruments 1 and 2 and they are INCREDIBLE - I am so excited to really get to grips with Reaktor now as before I would just use it for the odd Jarre-style ensemble.

WELL DONE NI - you have me interested in a big way and the free inclusion of those 2 outstanding packges (Electronic Instruments 1 and 2) is the icing on the cake.

This has been a good week for software for me, not only did I install this, but also installed the Battery 3.1 BETA (Loving it) and FL Studio 9.5 Beta (LOVING IT). Music is exciting again !!!

I'm stoked about the EIC 1 + 2. I was hoping they would come down in price - and they have!

Has anyone got the beta working within Komplete 5? I really want to get started with it, but really don't want to have problems with Komplete.

Onward!

Mine is from using my Komplete 5 License and works like a charm. Of course it overwrites the earlier version but it's worth it - oh boy yes :-)

Thanks Chris. My weekend is now officially full.

If you are impressed with EI1 then you should really spend some quality time downloading from the User Library. EI1 is nice but is pretty lame comparing to some stuff in the UL!

I hope NI would improve the ensemble browser making it easier to find what's in the UL - it's a real sonic treasure.

Anyone using LazerBass in Kore2? Here are some KoreSounds of all the patches and a Kore template for it:

It gets installed with the Beta.
An idiot on Set Theory:

Some OS X users are having trouble where the library update doesn't automatically install with the beta. A user on the NI forum posted this fix:
Lazerbass doesn't install under OS X. Neither do Electronic Instruments.
To get them to show up under OS X:
I had to Right click > show package contents the Installer .mpkg.
Go to Contents>Packages And run the 'Reaktor 5 Library Update.pkg' manually.
Now everything is there.

I can't find the manuals for EIC 1+2, although the instruments did install ok. The Reaktor Instruments Reference manual that came with the Beta does not have entries for the EIC instruments. I imagine this will be rectified in the final release.

In the meantime, if anyone has either or both these manuals, and would care to send them to me, please p.m. me. I'm a manual reading type.

Thanks,

e.

not to worry, since Reaktor uses common modular controls, I'm sure the interfaces are intuitive and self-documenting
sort of the issue I've always had with Reaktor -- so many clever people doing so many clever things with it, that I never really feel like I'm giving any given instrument enough exposure to really understand it. consequently the ones that do manage a relatively intuitive interface get a little more play.

Hi
Isn't a new beta supposed to be released before the end of August ? I didn't had the time to install the noe released in July, so i am wondering if i should better wait until a new beta is released ?
Thank you in advance

It should and it will. They've always made their new betas available before the old one expires.

You'll probably see the actual release, considering that K7's shipped...
