Try telling that to all those unemployed crotchets, quavers and semiquavers who expected to find a place on the score only to turn up and be told they were surplus to requirements...Meffy wrote:A little aleatoric Witold Lutosławski never did any harm.

Oh, easy! Try to feed a small piece of hardwood into an industrial-size bench jointer-planer without using a push stick.thecontrolcentre wrote:How do you mince your hands?Doug1978 wrote:if there was an emoticon who minced his hands down in a catty fashion
Yeah, I've learnt better since but for years I couldn't use my right hand for anything at all, could barely move [edit: the ~90% that's left of] one finger a centimeter without triggering five minutes or so of excruciating pain. Such is life.

Penderecki's "Threnody..." or "Polymorphia," on the other hand, guarantee PLENTY of mental harm when positioned just so.Meffy wrote:A little aleatoric Witold Lutosławski never did any harm, and could serve as a test of the recurrence method.

That's what I said. I try to save cussin' for stuff that needs it. :-} Doesn't hurt any more; it's the only source of pain I've been able to get rid of entirely. I'd like to claim I did a Django but it just regenerated (most of the way) by itself. No rigorous retraining or feats of self-discipline required.Doug1978 wrote:Oww!
