Why are they connected to this?

(I saw a show about Lindow Man where some wag archaeologist dubbed him 'Pete Marsh', so I'm not entirely to blame for the pun.)

Bedtime bump...
They're band names. In retrospect, 2's not quite as clever as I thought it was, and 3's a bit obscure; but I'm still quite proud of 1.

1 is Sly and the Family Stone.
For some reason I can't see 2; even when I copy/paste the imageshack address in a new tab, it just times out. I'll check again later.
Edit: I can see it now, though I have to really squint--and then close my eyes completely and bite my tongue while humming--to see the lads with moppish hairdos.
