Probably going to pick up a Schecter Damian Elite 7 or Jeff Loomis 7 soon...drop-tuning my 6-string and having it take fifteen minutes of repeated re-tuning before it stabilizes is a real PITA. Kind of debating "to Floyd Rose or not to Floyd Rose."

I was contemplating getting a 5-string bass (I've had them before and didn't quite warm up to them), but I think I may just take my Ibanez ATK 4-string (which has been modified with a Nordie MM pickup) and string it BEAD instead.

Speaking of Mayones/Poland (very nice bass and imho they are going to get bigger distribution soon as they make really good instruments - their SG/Viper-Type is a great example) I forgot one other little

amplifier that i would definately crumble on:

Laboga Mr Hector Duo Master Mk II

& bloody uber-br00tal monster and that really is it (Really).

Guitar wise maybe a Caparison or Charvel San Dimas *plus it goes without saying any pre-FMIC Jackson/Charvel second-hand steals* Those older necks just don't get any better for me, my style/preference

I thought about getting one of those charvels, but it's very had to get a color that is decent (I don't want slime green) I think the one I have been looking at is a different model:

That there So-Cal i wouldn't say no too either

& it may be worth sending the Ibanez back and taking that (i would do, but you ain't me!) but the San Dimas style one 1 is my personal choice (the 'super strat' one). Its a tough call mate but a USA production Charvel is imho hard to resist. Just save up some more and have both is the best option (but again my logic makes little sense to alot of people

)

I like that hink, with that hi-fi grade transformer i'd bet that with the right sort of cab that a bass would sound non to shabby through it either = Justified as it can do both and also take whatever else you might want to put through it. As i have said mate before the finacial situation is a real bastard which you don't need nor should you be in but life always throws a spanner in the works of good folk whilst the rotten apples seem to cruise

at least you have things to look forward towards instead of instant gratification which will make it all the more satisfying maybe when your out of the red which i do hope is soon man FWIW

fwiw I have a simple rule, when it comes to using credit I try to avoid it but if I can't I never buy anything on credit I want, I'll only use credit for things I need

It's a good rule. I used to just buy buy buy. Credit cards were spending money

Then it caught up with me and I vowed never again. Now, all credit cards are paid off in full except for zero interest cards which I always pay off WAY before they are due.

Oh i don't have a credit card and have never had one, i just do it the old way of saving for however many months and if its something i need then i go for them intrest free finance deals where if you pay it off (the balance after an initial despoit of usually £100 - £200) within a year then there is zero APR but if you don't then you end up paying more - I have never failed to pay the balance within a year though. I have a biggish one coming up actually which im not looking forward to but has to be done/bought/gotten out of the way. I only recently bothered to get a chip & pin card = thats how kaveman-like i am

but yeah its all about avoiding them credit cards or making sure you do pay off before the deal is sweet. Heck a few guys i am friends *even worse women* do quite literally just keep transfering from one credit card to another to avoid paying straight-up in a year but to be honest its all to much faffing around for a guy like me

So fwiw i agree with you both very much on that area

It's another good one, though very different from the Wampler in that it excels at lower gain tones. I like Tech 21's Double Drive 3x better for the heavier stuff.

The Sweet Honey really is sweet, that and the Mighty Red Distortion totally did it for me when they brought their pedals over. The Mighty Red is the closest I've heard to a Framus Dragon in a pedal, which is my personal Holy Grail for heavy tones. That said, I wasn't too thrilled about their other pedals.

Unlike anything else, closest probably being the Zendrive.

Have you tried the Zendrive 2 yet? It has an oh-so-slight mid-dip that makes it just a tad less authentically Dumble than the original Zendrive but I personally MUCH prefer the dynamics of the Zendrive 2. I've got a Fuchs ODS 100 here now yet am getting better tones from my Zendrive 2 + Hiwatt.

Your next guitar?
