i definitely hadn't heard of those plugins you mentioned. s'pose one could register and ask mr pablo nicely for his plugins. :D

mr pablo plugins
More likely, he's withdrawn them because they appear a little unpredictable.

Hyperupic

What a ripoff. I'm not using any software that isn't Satan-friendly.

Karplus synth, as in a delay is the "oscillator", really the pitch gets divided and lfo'ed to keep the stream alive while 4 osc modify the delay time. A grunged up version of an 80's thing.

Lol, so Apple enslaved is better? I find it funny how Apple fanboys perceive their cage as freedom. "I can do anything I want with my MAC, as long as it's been approved by Apple", pffftt. Muppet(...and no, not starting anything, we've been through this chestnut enough times before).

Recent quote from a users forum I came across... tells it's own story really. If Apple doesn't like the software you've got on your machine, they just remove it remotely (...was the eventual answer divulged). Nice.
"The iPad's unprecedented use of DRM to control all capabilities of a general purpose computer is a dangerous step backward for computing and for media distribution." <- Sounds like a happy user doesn't it?? :D

Tried this out on a Windows 2000 computer we have here----VST piano roll sequencer of a sort. Check out the VST's on the page as well.

yeah but to be fair, i'm starting to appreciate one or two workflow
improvements in Vista over XP, little things, like renaming and copying
stuff. most of the XP features are still there, too. i remember feeling
iffy about xp at first, then i loved it, and now it does things i find
frustrating, like forcing you to start a 'copy' all over again because
one file wouldn't go over. not all bad. but i always feel there are some
basic tools missing that any operating system should have onboard.

i still wouldn't use a mac. don't like their ethos, or elitism. they don't
boot any faster, and they always crashed on me, and i couldn't find my way
around. it seemed patronising. (and that's what these restrictions in Vista
are.)

the notion of microsoft as a big capitalist monster is a bit overplayed, tho',
and until someone does an OS that runs all apps irrespective of platform, they
won't have competition. something like that, anyway..these linux things are
looking promising, though: ubuntu seemed great, i just didn't have time to
get into all that.

A lot of the ms stuff would not be the issue if'n certain other companies did not cave in and go all guibbly just because Microsoft exists. Now, Ubuntu seems to work just fine here-it is just that the way it appears on your screen looks different. I like the looks of this. As for Apple, well, you know how it goes---

yep. :D
in truth, i haven't been brave enough nor had the headspace to entertain
another operating system or more than one machine this year, lol.
keeping it simple! already hanging on in there as it is..

on another tack...
here's some offroad(topic) action:

http://ericarcher.net/devices/mini-space-rockers/

there's some little drum circuits and samples there. lots of interesting
looking projects. ( i'm sort of collecting diagrams and webpages like this
in case i ever suss out how to use a soldering iron properly )( fat chance ).
there are some really impressive-looking diy hardware things going on.

today i'm looking for a diy portable mini guitar amp and fuzzbox project...
kind of stuff you can knock up anywhere.(just a transitory idea one needs to
deal with)

Post

and here's what i found( plus some elctronics design freeware):
