The fabulous Vox Continental is now available at HS. It's groovy, fab and even a bit far out!

Featuring long, extensive multi-samples of each and every drawbar, the scripting in Kontakt allows you to create your own sounds by setting the virtual drawbars exactly as you want along with amp and cab simulations and a rotary speaker for some really cronky sounds.

There's even a 'Damage' control to make it sound a bit beaten up and faulty.

AUDIO DEMO - the B52s meet The Munsters ... and then party!!

It's available now for just $25. More details here

Cheers,

Steve

Hm. I want/need/crave for too many libraries from Hollow Sun... time for a summer sale? ;)

I have recently restructured pricing at HS Towers recently with as much as a third off or more for many popular titles...

- The award winning Kontakt Novachord is down from $120 to $80

- The $60 titles are now $40 ... the award winning 'Nebulae' library, CP70 (and bundled Wurli EP200, Hohner Pianet and RMI Electrapiano), the Newtron Bomb Mellotron collection, Definitive PPG, etc..

That's a third off those libs.

- The 'Prog Pack (comprising CP70, Trons, string synths, Moog Taurus and steaming Hammonds) is now available for $100 which represents a $70 saving

And I am focusing on more affordable libraries for everyone...

- $10 for the new Crumar Performer

- $25 for the VP330 'Vocoder Plus'

- $25 for the new Vox Conti

- $25 for six authentically created classic string synths

Etc..

This is stuff that would cost £thousands on eBay if you were to buy the hardware equivalents!!

Cheers,

Steve

Yes, sorry, now I remember you said that earlier. But comparing it to buying the hardware equivalents is a bit funny. I'm here for the virtual versions. The Kontakt library in hardware equivalents would cost... something just slightly beyond my imagination in amount of $/£/€ and that's not what either of you are selling... I hope. :)

I still love your libraries and will initiate a mission to incrementally buy most of them soon. It just takes some time to collect money. :)

One can get quite addcited to those Sample packs by Hollow Sun, I can tell :)

On the Vox Continental I will pass, but I am already curious what Steve has in store for his next release.

Congrats Steve for this new release,
the demos sound really good.

One question though :
I own NI's Nostalgia, and if I'm not mistaken you were the "sample provider" for this kontakt VI.

And in this collection there are a few patches based on a Vox.

If the origin turns out to be the same, what kind of overlap is to be expected ?
Is your new release more deeply sampled, or re-programmed, or both ?

(btw this question can be extended to some other instruments, which appear -at least namely- in Nostalgia as well).

Thanks in advance for this information ! :)

Thanks :)

This Vox is totally new - new samples, new programming, etc.. The new one has each and every drawbar extensively multi-sampled and the GUI gives you the same control (more actually) as the original to sculpt your own sounds. The one in Nostalgia was just a simple, generic Conti sound sampled years ago with just a few samples (I can't even remember what settings!).

This is what I was thinking, based on the obvious sonic difference between my Nostalgia's patches and your demos....
But it never hurts to make sure....

(in fact, Nostalgia's weakness IMO is just that : a lot of things -so many that I have to admit I did not try everything it offers- but a lot of "generic" things as well : and often quantity and quality don't go along very well)

Is the VP330 in the same boat as the Vox organ quality/novelty wise?

I take your point but a lot of people enjoyed the broad palette of vintage sounds on offer in 'Nostalgia' even if the sounds weren't too detailed and maybe a bit 'generic' in places.

Most definitely. Completely brand new from a pristine VP330 in Germany in a collaboration with a new virtual friend of mine, one Matthias Shuster.

Steve
