Btw, at the bottom of the page it says:

"GPL Open Source code. Will be available in the next days."

So hopefully we'll have some of the other great devs around making great variations!

TAL, sounds awesome as expected from you!

But why aren't any of your synths supporting sustain pedal? :(

Post

Hi,

I have been trying it, it seems great but, and I love the sound of the presets.

BUT how do I change the waves? :help:

Thanks.

Ok, guys, have fun with the synth and spread it... Thumbs up to TAL for the good work...

Click and drag the waveform icon up/down.

I was just looking at the interface thinking "it seems almost identical to the Elek7ro synth..."

Then I read the description! "An improved version of Tal-Elek7ro...", with some very nice improvements over Elek7ro I must say. Man am I glad I read that before posting a stupid question here.

I wish they hadn't gotten rid of that third envelope though. :?

It's still there, above the second ADSR sliders...

It sounds like a great synth.

Yes, and has a very awkward attack slope. Makes it kinda useless to do nice slow sync sweeps with it, since it starts fast then slows up dramatically. It would help if the attack slope of that AD envelope wasn't skewed that much, make it a bit less convex.

I've added velocity modulations to every patch in the factory bank (except the startup sound), here it is if you want it:
Factory bank with additional velocity modulations.

I didn't actually change the patches in any other way. I wish it had aftertouch modulation too..

Also I notice it may make the synth erm.. click a bit. Not "pop" just click, when you turn up the velocity mod on some patches. Bug?

OK, I've played with it a little while now, and have a couple of (probably stupid) suggestions:

The LFO's now have positive AND negative modulation, which is great, but if you assign one to, say, filter cutoff and choose the ramp waveform, then rotate the destination control to the left (negative) it only seems to work for a quarter turn before it goes back to a (positive) upward slope again (I hope I explained that properly). Also, shouldn't that read DEST 2 for LFO 2?

Secondly, I'm not entirely sure what the Bitcrusher is doing, it seems to be an all or nothing kind of effect. I'm probably just using it wrong.

Other than that, a fine addition to the TAL synth line, and some great presets Frank!
