I like this Synth. Really easy to use and good quality.
What I don't really like is the way one changes waveforms, way too fiddly.
I like the large GUI, I wished more developers had big GUIs, on 26 " screens nowadays many synths are so tiny.
I have experienced the Noise maker to eat up notes that i wanted to play when I ran several instances. had not ime yet to duplicate the situation, if I find the time, I will post what caused it.
btw, presets are nice, too.

Xenox.AFL wrote:What the hell is your problem? Why do you keep attacking Xenox.AFL, rather than just accepting that it's another good free synth that is largely based on TAL's Elek7ro. If you really want to give credit, give TAL some money - at no point has Xenox.AFl asked for any.
It's this kind of shit that stops people producing freeware...
Agree!
Frank
1- i have donated to TAL allready a few times in the past and will continue do so in the future.i'm the last person u need say that too.
i am a big fan of patrick's work and i don't wanna see some rob papen wannabe steal credits from him .
2. xenox-correct me if i'm wrong- u did NOT make this synth together with Patrick as u claimed. it was all patrick's concept ,work and coding. you did some presets and did some beta testing(missing out even portamento lol).thats it.
trying give out the idea that this synth was also your work was inappropriate.("we had lots of fun making this synth together")
3. even the facebook group u just opened was opened by YOU with jhis permission....."we opened it together"....maybe u dream of doing things "together" with him one day. i hope it happens one day for real!
credits due where credits due...and this is TAL's(patrick's) synth. end
someone's actually believed uthanks to TAL & co. for another great plugin
anyway i'd love to settle this fight in a OSC (OneSynthChallenge)....u up for it ?:D

What's wrong with you?
Portamento is available in NoiseMaker.
And Xenox said that Patrick and him developed IDEAS for this synth together. Not coding or anything, just ideas.

You're going in my nerves, really. As someone sayed here before, i did everything for just for phun, everything, for free, i did this in my sparetime and i did a lot of sounddesign and patches for comercial plugins and i earn money for my sounddesign. I had a lot of fun making this synth with TAL and i never sayed, I NEVER SAYED, that i coded something or did any coding for this Plugin. I just sayed "i did it with TAL together" because i had lotsa ideas to make this plugin better as the Elektro Plugin and not all my ideas are in this version. I'm not sure if we do another Version when people try starting to bother me, i hate that really. I never wanted to say something about this topic because it's really stupid but i don't want that people spread shit like this...
And i really start thinking about to stop my work on another version from this plugin because of people like you.. Thanx...
And to make you happy, everything on this Plugin was made by "TAL", i did nothing....
And by the way, everything i do, for example the Facebook group or whatever, was dun with the permission of Patrick, if he say "no", then "no", just to let you know, contact him if you think i'm lying...

that he didnt do any of the coding was allready cleared in previous thread after i asked him what he meant by " we made this synth together".DragonSagoth wrote:

infact i asked him in this thread what part of the synth was his idea, his concept.(developing is not just coding) i'd be happy to give him credit if that's so...
if he really contibuted this way to the synth it should be TALXENOX-Noisemaker.
as said i love give credits where credit's due.
then i will write here...thanks TAL & XENOX for this great plugin 100 times.
peace

Out of interest, what ideas of yours were missed out?Xenox.AFL wrote:i had lotsa ideas to make this plugin better as the Elektro Plugin and not all my ideas are in this version.
Not wishing to criticise this fine, free(!) synth - it really is a fantastic sounding little synth, but as a sound design tool it's perhaps a wee bit on the basic side. As a pro sound-designer (nice work on the patches, btw), wouldn't you like to see the superb TAL audio engine harnessed to an equally powerful synth architecture? I mean, something along the lines of a freely assignable mod matrix would hugely increase the scope for really interesting sound design.

Bazille - well yeah, I agree a vastly more powerful synth, but it is pay-ware.lateks wrote:tried it and meh

And Synth1, one of my favourite free plugins, does have way more modulation/routing options, but the basic sound engine - the oscillator and filter - is, IMO, nowhere near the quality of Noisemaker.
...but then again why did you even bother posting? I try numerous plugins and more often than not think 'meh' to myself, at which point I just move on. I'm rather tempted to just repeat bailees7irish's suggestion to you.

I think I fall into the other camp regarding flexibility of routing within a synth's architecture. I quite like restrictions, as long as they are not too great. In the past, most people had to deal with an even more restricted synth architecture (unless they had £££'s to spend on a modular synth), and yet they worked within these restrictions, and often in trying to reproduce a "physical sound" they came up with something more interesting.
Not that I haven't got a great deal of admiration for the people who spent days patching together synth modules to achieve the sound they were looking for, or those that continue to do this with software, but it's not for me. I tend to find I work more creatively with some restrictions - that way I don't get sidetracked from actually writing music.
Or to put it another way, put a patch panel in front of me and my eyes start to glaze over.
But, each to his own...

I love Synth1 but let's be real, its puny filter cannot be compared to NM's.

Thank you very much to all the people involved in creating this fine piece of instrument. I hope it will inspire me in doing some nice music (for me at least
).
I'm just starting to entering the world of synthesis and so I have so much to learn about all the parts that of a synth. SO I'd like to start messing around from the start and not start from a preset that already as so many configuration.
So how can I reset all the settings on Noisemaker to start from a clean/blank preset?
Cheers

the bug i reported of the GUI creating crackles only applies to energyXT2(not always but with some consistancy...let's say 30% of the time i open up noisemaker)
tried the GUI in Reaper today ...no issues at all with the GUI.always smooth.
feauture request:
apart from the reset position on knobs also a just click on waveform to change oscillator type would be cool (the scrolling is a bit twiddly).

I just installed and have been trying this out and wow what a cracking synth this really is. Such a lush sound ,and so easy to manipulate and program. I didn't really read this thread due to it being de-railed and turned into a player hate thread, and that tbh is bang outta line.
It's called TAL-Noisemaker, therefore my massive thanks goto Patrick for once again creating something amazing. And thanks to Frank for the pretty amazing presets too.
Now can we please give credit where credit is due for this pretty amazing synth tbh, and stop all the hating n comparing etc, be thankful this kinda stuff comes our way at all.
Im really lovin this synth tbh
