There is not yet a built in tempo automation in XT2, but there is a workaround:
See here http://energyxt2.wikidot.com/tempo-track-workaround to see how it works.

Using that workaround, is there a way to render the tempo changes with 'bounce to track'?

I'm using xt 2.5.3 with wine, routed a track with a controller envelope mapped to tempo to midi through and back to energyxt. I have a track with a vsti, which follows the tempo normally, but when I try to render to wav or freeze, the tempo changes are completely ignored...
Connecting a second sequencer and recording the vst output in realtime isn't an option, because there's inevitably some xruns and stuttering that ruins the track...

Post

No, there really doesn't seem to be a simple way to freeze/render a track with the tempo change workaround applied.
Seen this way, the workaround really is just of little help...
