It's also not listed @ Thomann, the normal plugin-suite is there listed.

Perhaps the scarlett suite was really so bad, that they don't wanna sell it more

I use their plugin suite and it's nothing special, just better than standard, included effects. They are definitely a let down given Focusrite's reputation and, IMHO, taint it significantly.

I emailed Focusrite to see the differences with Scarlett and they said

I have outlined the differences below:
- New interface in Scarlett
- Improved metering in Scarlett
- RTAS support in Scarlett

So it looks like just a repackage, price hike marketing ploy. There's also no special pricing for plugin suite users.

i was curious about this myself. novation nio owners have these plugins and was curious about the difference between the scarlett versions and the nio effects rack ones.

I have the Saffire Pro 40, and it is a beautiful sound card, love it, and it came with an effects bundle... which is average at best, to say it's better than "standard effects" is a gross over statement, maybe 5 years ago, but not by today's standards. So if the scarlett package is just a fancy GUI then I won't go near it with a 50 foot barge pole. Maybe focusrite don't see any value in VST or they are just testing the market. But their plugins don't do much for their reputation. There hardware is top notch, so I wonder where things went wrong with the VST software.
