I think someone answered the recording part cause I dunno. But you can turn off the grid so you can make 1/64th notes, etc if you like. That was something missing from a lot of other apps. most were limited to 16th notes. boring.

isequence vs nanostudio sampling - i prefer nanostudio. isequence has more features but i find it harder to work with. i suppose it would be the clear winner if i was multisampling instruments, but i dont much. for drums, i cant ask for more then what nanostudio is offering but i am looking forward to seeing them try.

A new app, Loopseque, has been getting a lot of talk. I am disappointed with it at the moment. not much going for a musician. if it added per step effects in the vain of hexaton, then we could chat.

uh oh, a competitor to nanostudio? Xenon by icegear came out today.

they also made the awesome argon synthesizer. I gotta admit, I like the sound of argon better then the synths in nanostudio so this could be a good package.

Xenon is no competitor to Nanostudio.....Xenon is a nice little beatbox, but not something I would take seriously. It has a nice collection of synths, but sequencing leaves a lot to be desired....

yea the sequencer cant touch nanostudio. It should though, its not asking very much really. simply being able to define the pattern lengths would be a good start.

the synths sound great but browsing patches is dreadful.

Argon has a leg up on every other iOS synth simply due to the fact that you can use 3 oscillators at once. Every other iOS synth is limited to 2, from what I've seen. 3 oscillators makes for much fatter basses.
