Hi. Just a little research to see what category of presets you most prefer.
Working on a new bank of presets, and I'm interested in knowing about this.

If there is some kind of presets you do not like to see in your banks, please post about that, as I would like to know about that as well.

If there is a category I missed, you could also post about that.
I tried to include as many as possible.

Thank you. :)

Michael

Note: For real instrument emulations, you can also choose just a certain category for what emulations you like.
For example. If you like real organ emulation, then you could just select "keys" instead of real instrument emulation. If you like many different kinds of emulations, then you could choose "real instrument emulations".

 Sorry I had the fish option last, but forgot to hit the "add new" button, so fail.
It was cuttlefish.
(not really a fish though)

*nodnod* A fishing poll.

Pads, because I think they are more difficult to do from scratch. At least to me.

Pads, then emulations, then bass, then leads.

I did vote "cuttlefish" in solidarity with my fishy relatives. :hihi:

The most hardest thing is to make a really good pad.

I never heard in any synths pads like this:

Is just because creating this take a lot of time?

Sound FX for me, I'm needing some instant fix!

Why wasn't Squid not in the list? Something against squid???!!! :x

Well the OP is fishing for suggestions! :band:

I voted Bass cause although they're relatively easy to patch i often like to call up a bass patch when i'm working on something and tweak the sound rather than build it from scratch. Besides, i'm not as proficient as i'd like to be with synthesis.

If pads doesn't come out on top, I'll grow gills, cover myself in batter and be fried and served to fellow KVRers on a bed of chips to the music of a vuvuzela.

I think it should be a pre-requisite that participants in this survey proclaim that they understand and factually know what a pad actually is.

A pad does not have any truly moving elements aside from maybe some sort of slow modulation. If it has more than that, then it's a soundscape.

Think: Peter Gabriel's "Mercy Street"... the foundational chords of that song are a pad played on the Prophet 5. The flutey sound in the song is a soundscape element.
