But overall IMO it's not worth the dev's time to worry over it - He could put an image of his naked gramma on it for all I care, as long as the plugin performs.

:D :D Yeah! That's the spirit!

The corpses all hang
Headless and limp
Bodies with no surprises
And the blood drains down like devils rain
We'll bathe tonight

I want your skulls
I need your skulls
I want your skulls
I need your skulls

Demon I am and face I peel
To see your skin turned inside out, 'cause
Gotta have you on my wall
Gotta have you on my wall, 'cause

I want your skulls
I need your skulls
I want your skulls
I need your skulls

Collect the heads of little girls and
Put 'em on my wall
Hack the heads off little girls and
Put 'em on my wall

I want your skulls
I need your skulls
I want your skulls
I need your skulls
I want your skulls
I need your skulls
I want your skulls
I need your skulls

What, the naked gramma? Oh, HELL no... :hihi:

(And especially as long as the plug-in does NOT perform like a naked gramma. :wheee:)

+1 for the "disintegrating head" idea, too.

skulls are great. i have one myself and it stops my head becoming a floppy fleshy mess. however, i don't think it looks right on your plugin.

hehe :) But I do like the Skull :)

I havent got this pluggy yet, and I dunno why, I am a distortion fanatic.
I agree... this is a much better idea.

I like skull (and actually have created many detailed pen & ink drawings for Day of the Dead celebrations), but I don't think it complements the digital style of the plugin. The picture above, definitely does. :)

I like the idea of plugins having their own character tbh. I like it when I open Ohmicide of seeing a mental person having a breakdown. (Or is that just a mirror)

Just some plugins have their own unique feel and style and an icon helps with that imo.

Being a multiband distortion unit this should have the melda icon in someway being distorted :)

now that would be more appropriate and much cooler!
great idea.

I voted "don't care" but I suppose a skull fits with distortion and guitars and all that death metal nonsense.

Maybe you should make the skull part of the actual GUI - maybe poke its left eye socket and it engages sustain, poke its right eye socket and sustain lifts. Pull a worm out of its nose hole and you increase distortion depth...that sort of thing

Sounds like you've been messing around with the Ohm Force "funky" skins!!! :hihi:

Honestly, I don't care what it looks like. You could put a sneering goat head and an upside down cross as primary graphical elements and have it pop up a 1-second flash of a picture of your hand giving me the finger every time I load the plugin, and if it sounds good and works really well I'll use it and like it. The sound, the functionality, matters so much to me. Visuals aren't a big deal. If it's photo-realistic, nice art, but I'm going to be sensing it primarily with my ears; so long as the visual appearance doesn't impair the user's ability to control the software, not high on my list of priorities.

Either use a small flat icon, or none at all. None at all is good because it leaves more room for controls.
