This should be good...

Complaining is to be compared as a magico-religious unmemorable tribal practice sometimes, especially here at kvr...

...thouth it seems that responsiveness isn't maybe the stongest point of EW policy

Personally, I have no stake in EW, and I don't know anyone there. I just use their products, including Play. Guess what? I have ZERO complaints. Great samples, extremely musical and natural, and Play works fine on my system - a 3 year old quad core running XP Pro on 4 gigs. I use Play simultaneously with GigaStudio, Kontakt and a bunch of other vsts in Cubase, sometimes with multiple instances of each plug... and everything works.

I would advise people having legit problems with Play or any other intensive music software to either upgrade your computers, or get them recalibrated by a specialist music tech company... or both. That's exactly what I did and, like I said, everything works. :)
+1 to most of that. I don't get it... there was a post on the previous page complaining of not coping with a basic patch on 24gb of RAM and SSDs. My specs are almost identical to yours - pretty modest - and I get very few problems.

Some updates haven't been good, and originally Play was horrible. These days it's literally 10 times more efficient than it was, dead easy to use... basic to be sure, but does the job perfectly well.

Sounds like I'm not the only who has spent a couple grand on EW to realize that you now have some expensive frizbees.

EW/QL Orchestra gold [quality does not reflect price]
EW/QL Choir [See other's posts, same as above]
EW/QL Gypsy [I paid what for what?... Can be done better with older stuff...]
Chris Hein Horns Complete [not worth the money, period]

I wanted to try the Ministry of Rock before I bought Electri6ity but already wasting so much money on EW I just can't bring myself to try another piece of pricey software just for a box to take up room and thats it.

So it's just my opinion, but I'm pretty sure I won't EVER be buying another thing from EW again.
