I am curious as to what the next models of Amplitube will be, I am a big Fender fan, and Peavey, any new ones of those lines? Thanks

TAPE DELAY TAPE DELAY TAPE DELAY TAPE DELAY TAPE DELAY

Post

Amplitube Fender has a pretty good tape delay sim. It's, well, sort of obviously a digital tape delay emulation, but it sounds really good nonetheless... BUT, it would be nice if they'd go hardcore and model an Echoplex or something like that, give the user a lot of control over it. Something like the El Capistan dTape pedal from Strymon, but done IKMM's way.

I love the sound of tape delay, and the Amplitube Fender model gets a lot of the characteristics of it, but compare the accuracy of that to the Amplitube Fender '63 Reverb or the Fender rotary cabinet, and it's pretty clear which ones are hardcore models of gear and the one that is a pretty good stab at a general "tape delay like" sound, if you get what I mean.

The way a tape delay ducks a bit when you play over it, the sort of wash rather than fade, there's just a lot about the sound that is so lovely for guitar. The Amplitube Fender Tape Delay is a really nice sounding modulated delay, I use it a lot in AT3, but I'd love to get something more robust.

I am also curious about the amount of amps and effects in upcoming packages, single amp maker per package, various amp makers, I would really like to see the Peavey classic 50, and JSX, and the Fender addition of the Super Reverb.

I'll say it again. Bad Cat. Matchless. One of the two or both, please. A Mutron III Envelope Filter would also be welcome. Maybe a Diezel or Bogner or another Mesa head with all the switch/toggle options. Poweramp, SAG, wattage control for certain heads. Hiwatt.

TC Electronic Chorus/Flange pedal. Fulltone OCD pedal, or other flavors of over drive pedals. A rack preamp/power amp combo(s).

There has been a few other threads like this. I'll stop now, as I could go on and on about the gear I'd like to see modeled in a sim.

the two i'd really like to see is the mutron and the mxr distortion+... no real need for another distortion, but i really like that one.

Matchless DC 30, please. If they nail that one, then I would be VERY happy. Others I like to see are Rivera Knocklehead, Fryette Sig X, Bogner XTC, Hiwatt and Sunn amps.

For stomps I would love a chandler tube driver, a MXR dist+, a mutron filter and a moog ring modulator. I would also like them to improve the wahs, but I fear that a VST wah, that I like, is never going to happen.

For effects a echoflex, Binson Echorec, Eventide Undolator, Chrystalizer, bandpass delay and blackhole reverb.

The pitchshifter is almost worse than the boss pedal, so I would REALLY love to see an improved pitchshifter/harmonizer. Eventide quality and function would be incredible. I have a pitchfactor, and that one kills everything I've tried in VST.

I would also like them to improve the mic collection with more Ribbons, a Heil PR30, Seenheiser e906 (all 3 modes), a U47, Audix D5 and Beyer m201GT. I would also like to angle the mics, and maybe even place a third one on the back of the speaker...

A final option I would like is a preamp option on each mic chain, with many of the high end options like Neve 1073, Chandler TG and Germanium, API.....

BTW I don't think Peavey would be happy to see models of their stuff outside of Revalver.....

You bring up some good points about micing, angles, rear cabinet, and preamp options, I agree.
The 5150 has been modled by several amp sims, change the name from Classic 50 to Older 40 maybe.

An EH Small Clone chorus model has already been confirmed by IK, and a Hiwatt Custom 100 DR-103 is a 99% certainty.

Hopefully the Small Clone isn't the only chorus we'll get, as the Boss CE-2, Ibanez CS-9, TC Electronic SCF, and Fulltone CF-1 are so much more highly sought after classics than the Small Clone.

I'd also like to see an MXR Distortion+, Maestro Echoplex, and an ADA MP-1, but there is no word on any of those models either, other than them being on Peter's list of user requests, which is apparently, a very long list.

Maybe Peter will share the complete list with us.

Peter? We are waiting.

Bad Cat seems to be the most asked for amp model (geee, I wonder why) other than the surely inevitable hiwatt.

Why?
I don't think I'm in the know on that one, did I miss something?
I don't know too much about the amps, either,

I've seen a few requests for a Bad Cat, certainly, but I think there are probably more for a Matchless. Which unless I'm mistaken, seems to be in the same arena.

All I can say is I keep seeing these DTV HD shows and bad cat seems to be a big one (and what I hear sounds great. )Not a big matchbox 20 fan but they had them and the tone was tops! Of course.......we don't have them around here in the stores  But we DO have blackstar's and they are friking sweet!

That reply actually only confused me even more...

Sorry about that. The bad cat seems to have brought up quite a bit so I think it's safe to say it's desirable....even Peter mentioned as something he though would be cool (I think)

I have not played through one but have listend to many of these bands on my DTV. Matchbox 20 was one, and though I'm not a big fan of theirs....the guitar tones were very desirable....as an example.
