I know we all paid for C. And we'd like to think that makes Brad somehow beholden to our needs. But it doesn't. This is a one man operation who has been kind enough to share his work with the community at large. He has for the most part been MORE accessible than many of the big corporate players in the same arena. In spite of his limited resources he has produced what I think is the best host of its kind out there by far.

And yes, it would seem that anyone could find 30 secs to post a single response checking in here but then what's the difference? Has anyone really gone untended in the face of some crisis? Not that I am aware. TIUser seems to be on the job! (lol)

I think we just all got spoiled having someone that was extremely accesible. In most cases the actual developers are almost never directly available to the public writ large.

I would like to see the development of C continue. But things change. Whatever happens I've already gotten way more useage from C than the paltry sum for which it was purchased.

Thanks for your work Brad. I hope all is well, that you are receiving fair compensation for whatever project you are currently involved in, and that you and your family are doing well.

I'll do my best...

I agree in many regards. A lot of the small and one man developments provide better feedback and service than the big companies do.

Cantabile has had long history over years. It's not a big problem to me either not to see new features coming up every two weeks. It's all more a communication issue. It would be a pity if C. development would end here. But I don't think so. I know Brad for long enough to know that he seriously plans to come back when he says he will do so. He told me often enough he will not promise about some things and finally surpassed my expectations by far. All is just not about now. And probably that's good as putting projects some time away and having a fresh look on it later again could be more beneficial in the end than pushing oneself.

I'm new to C, but I agree with Steviebone, I've gotten way more out of C in the past 2 weeks of use than I feel I paid for. I was going crazy getting the same functionality out of Ableton and it cost a lot more!

I too hope Brad continues his fine work on C. I also understand though, that he's gotta pay his bills as well and if C isn't doing that at the moment, then he's gotta do what pays the rent first.
The tool that gives you the results you expected *is* the right tool for the job.

Hi TiUser,

thanks for the hint. I installed both versions (32Bit version had to be downloaded twice for any reason) and both seem to work. Build shown now is 2057.

Maybe it's worth noting that I got the message from Brad himself - things took a week to be processed.
