Minion! See that my wishes are most heartily accommodated. Make for me a product that fulfills my needs. Do it now!electro wrote:I can do without that. Emulate some desirable hardware box that I can't do without.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Gear that i would like to see as Cytomic's modeling plug-in:
1.) Fairman's tube compressor (and tube EQ)
2.) Elysia Alpha Compressor (Mpressor too cause the official plug-in could be much better)
3.) Manley VoxBox
......
4.) Sontec EQs
5.) Buzz Audio REQ-2.2
The biggest problem in digital mixing are plug-in compressors and preamps IMO.
We already have great reverbs, delays, EQs that are good enough to replace the hardware.
Quality modulation effect? OK, why not!

After DMG Equality i can't justify to my self buying another plug-in EQ. Maybe a good modeling of Sontec, Fairman or Buzz Audio...if they will be excellent!Beno. wrote:+1 for a EQ!!!!
Equality same as The Glue set the standard that is hard to reach.

Modulation, really?
The world does not need more digital EQs and time-based effects.
Lexicon nailed ITB verb.
Soundtoys has modulation stuff nailed.
The world DOES NEED BETTER COMPRESSORS.

So general opinion is to keep modeling compressors, which I think is a good thing.
But before making requests I think we should also include schmatics. I requested a manley and they send shematics to registered users...so andy you have a friend nearby who owns a manley comp/limiter?

yea. like something based on Ibanez AD202 with a twist. this rack unit is highly desirable to meelectro wrote:I can do without that. Emulate some desirable hardware box that I can't do without.andy_cytomic wrote:next plugin I will tackle will be a creative modulation type effect

Agreed. I can't think better track eq than EQuality, considering sound quality, CPU efficiency, easy to use and low price. AFAIK Dave is already making mastering version also.dotl wrote:After DMG Equality i can't justify to my self buying another plug-in EQ....Equality same as The Glue set the standard that is hard to reach.Beno. wrote:+1 for a EQ!!!!

I would love to see a model of the Foxrox Paradox TZF! I love the pedal but always wanted stereo ins in addition to the stereo outs. Beautiful through zero flanging! http://foxroxelectronics.com/

Why bother to model such a specific and affordable gear??? What we really need from Andy is plug-in that models very expensive gear likeMelvin J. wrote:I would love to see a model of the Foxrox Paradox TZF! Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor
Elysia Alpha Compressor
Fairman TMC (Tube Master Compressor)

Channel Strip
-input stage with option for clean or analog modeled saturation
-gate
-HPF/LPF with smooth or sharp curves
-4 band parametric eq
-channel compressor with auto/manual attack and release, selectable ratios
-switchable gate-eq-comp routing
-output stage with option for clean or analog modeled saturation
-optional soft/hard clipping @ output stage
would complement the glue well IMO
then maybe a combination delay/reverb unit, or chorus/flange that excels at artificial double tracking.
