OMFG!!! The man is a legend (and I don't mean just to me

) in space-music circles, and deservedly so.

I listen to his music all of the time. I often sleep to "Dream Circle" and "Slowly Revealed," amongst many other tracks. He rides the line between "space" and "tribal" (while landing squarely on one side or the other at various points).

His music tends to have an "unsettling" quality, but not quite to the extent of his one-time collaborator, Dirk Serries (who worked with Steve on several excellent collaborations while using the performance name "Vidna Obmana"). Much of the "Vidna Obmana" music is quite "unsettling," though beautiful (truly in a class by itself). Serries' current main project is "Fear Falls Burning," which focuses on a sort of "post-rock ambient dronescaping" - wonderful stuff!!!

As for Steve, be sure to give his new "Sigh of Ages" a whirl!!!
