Yea good stuff as usual there. 8)

So I finally got around to uploading my effort. It's here:

http://soundcloud.com/groups/kvr-one-sy ... nge/tracks

I wasn't really that ambitious making this; used a lot of presets (though I did tweak some and made one from scratch) It was a nice way to try out what this synth can do; mostly instant 80's-sounds. This was my first OSC mostly because I quite like this synth, because it has such a clear identity; whenever I need some 80's/digital/fairlight-like sound SQ8L is the first synth to try.

Why are you guys using Souncloud for submissions all of a sudden? I haven't browsed through the entire 9 pages so an explanation might have been given there :?
is Tattie's usual site down? It wasn't yesterday.

We are changing over to SoundCloud, so for SQ8L it will be tested in parallel to 4shared. All submissions are in both places atm, but for NA2SC1 it will be SC only.

But a list of instances and FX used must still be made according to the rules, so can you add that to your 4shared upload please Monopoli. (welcome btw :))

Post

OK good to know. Thanks V'ger :)
I'll upload my track both places then.

Thanks for explanation, V'ger!

Holy crap... that really is instant '80s. Makes me want to watch 'Mannequin'... um... maybe not, actually.

Oh, alright. I added a comment. Is it OK like this?

From the OP:
tattiemannie wrote:...... create a notepad/text file and describe briefly what you have used ( host, how many instances of SQ8L, which fx, how many instances.. etc. )
....... keep it short though, that way it can be read in preview mode without the need to be downloaded.

Save the notepad/text file as the title of your track, that way it will sit above or below the track itself when you upload it, and not get mixed up with any others.
So you need to make a text file and upload it to 4shared.

Like I said, we are uploading to both 4shared and SoundCloud for this OSC, so apologies for the confusion.

OK thanks. Done...

Cheers for the submission monopoli :) .... and you can find my apology and reason for being 'posted missing' over the past few days on other OSC threads, so I aint gonna repeat :) ... however, just need to say THANKS V'ger for maintaining a presence and 'keeping the ball rolling' :)

Keep them coming guys :)

Been working on my NA2SC track, but I have a good start on my SQ8L track, so if I could only squeeze some time in to get the OSC17 album done, I would be a way happier bunny :) .... however, kids are back to school, and no gigs for about 10 days, so it's all possible if I catch things right :)

great idea by the way...

Post

Cheers Tattie :) Yea it has gone a bit quiet here after Mac started working 200% and yourself more busy too, but I guess also somewhat typical for this time of year. Submissions anyway trickling in.

Post

I'm only working 150% now, so in a while I'll hopefully be able to come back and at least enter a competition or two  I need my life back, not to mention the fact that my second OSC album is stuck until I manage to enter another couple of songs...
