I'm fairly sure he played a Rickenbacker 4001 at some point...anyway, it was worth a try!

I only really remember seeing him play a precision but I've probably only seen limited footage of them, so I'm sure he did play a RB at some point but I just didn't see.

Nope. It is to do with stringed instruments, but not specifically basses.
