Not 100% sure where to put the two 128 files.
I shot you off an email.

The standard path for the Cakewalk zta+ programs folder is:

C: Drive
ProgramData
Cakewalk
z3ta+
Programs (this is generally where you would put your Banks and Programs.) :)

Only the Resources and Wavetable have to be in specific places. The Program files - .fxb, .fxp, .128 can be anywhere and will still work fine.

Thanks for the info/email. I still don't see the new soundbanks in with the original z3ta+ banks. Is there something special I have to do to see the new list of banks?

Thanks again.

You are close my friend. Soon you will be on your way! (Poor guy must be dying to play his new sounds.)

Ok - You found the Cakewalk z3ta+ program folder and placed the Avant-Garde Folder with the 2 .128 file in it correct?

If yes, Then you will launch Reaper -

Drop z3at+ in -

Click the Bank button -

Load Midi Bank File (.128) option -

and map to C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\z3a+\Programs\Avant-Garde\Avant-Garde.128

Cha-ching!

Correct.

I know I must sound like a complete n0ob here, but I'm usually pretty good with stuff like this.

No problem at all. We'll get you rolling. It would have been easier if the Programs folder was along side in the Cakewalk z3ta+ vsti folder.

I'm running on Windows XP media center edition btw, if that makes a difference at all.

No it shouldnt as long as can load your vst's fine. (I sent you an email.)

If that doesnt work you may have to clear your cache within reaper and rescan your vst's.

The new soundbanks should show up along with the original z3ta+ soundbanks, right? I mean, as I browse through the lists of zeta presets (e.g. A, B, C, D, E & F) I should see your soundbanks (a list txt of which you included in the zip package) mixed in with the original z3ta+ banks, right? Because I'm not seeing any of them listed that are on the included txt file.

I know I probably screwed this up somewhere. I'll keep trying stuff. ;)

No Bud, A-F are default factory banks that load in automatically when you launch z3ta+ every time.

Avant-Garde is an add on bank like any other add-on bank. You have to manually load it in to one of the bank slots A-F under the Bank button, Load Midi Bank File (.128) option.

Usually I need to listen to a demo for a soundbank a few times to convince myself to buy it, but with this soundbank, I knew I wanted to purchase the soundbank after listening to it for only a minute or two. The problem was that I had a difficult time trying to pry myself away from listening to the demo so I could pay for it...
Thanks Mate! :D Hope you are enjoying it!
you should make another bank...
 :help: :hihi:

I agree. More banks would be stellar! These banks are great, very high quality. Anyone who has z3ta+ needs to get these banks now! 8)

Thanks t41. I'm glad you are excited and enjoy the sounds! I'm happy to have contributed something the community finds useful and likes.

If this does well, who knows what will come next... As far as an Avant-Garde II or another z3ta+ bank, it's far too early to get my head around that!. It would be a daunting challenge to top what I produced already by any stretch of the imagination! But never say never... :)

I really enjoyed developing the Avant-Garde Bank and GUIs for z3ta+. The nice thing about z3ta+, is its relatively intuitive and concise in what it offers without suffering from too much feature-creep or being laborious to work with.

No winners yet in the Avant-Garde sound Bank and GUI giveaway contest. Keep your guesses coming!

There are 6 six songs in total...
